How do they grow enough marijuana to supply the business? They can legally only have 6 plants each.
Are they keeping business records of the expenditures that match the donations received? Are they a legal tax free corporation allowed to take donations? Seems like somebody will be testing this from a jail cell.
Interesting that they are brazen enough to run with this. The risks are VERY high in this scenario.

But your hand will be out there grabbing all that Marijuana sales tax from sales made in the city limits won't it ? I didn't see a rider exempting sales made within the city limits from county tax.
Don't worry, we will just have to do things the way citizens do. Get signatures and override those representatives that fail to represent us.

The awesomeness of this move brings me to tears. Only when the city and DA's office have to start paying out settlements will they rethink their current harassment strategies.
The DA carries immunity in his office, but the city and local police will have to take the hit here. Maybe they will quit dancing as Dan May's little puppets when the suits start heading into the millions of dollars. Just wait... it's coming!

if they already have impaired driving laws on the books, why on earth do we have to add another one?
The presumption that thc in ones system indicates intoxication is incorrect and has been proven an invalid measure already.
Leave it to the lawmakers to keep making laws... even if we don't need them.

Be sure to join in the boycott of Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance members. They want the feds to come to CO and bust you for your legal Marijuana.

Sucks that they have to go through the system. Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. It does seem like they were pushing the edges of the laws pretty hard. 64 does not allow for sales of marijuana, only growing of 6 plants and possession of 1 oz away from where you grow it. You can also transfer 1 ounce without compensation.
I don't think I would risk my freedom just to make bank by simply referring to the payment as a "donation". The regulations are in process to regulate sales, but won't be in place until January 2014.
The DA seems to have a hard time placing a jury that will convict on Marijuana charges, but if you get to that point you have already lost great sums just in your defense.
