Add your dog's mug shot to Bird Dog's tabletop collection while diving into some of the juiciest barbecue in the city. Go for the DogHouse, a plate of brisket or pulled pork with hot links and Polish sausage, all covered in baked beans. For date night, go with the prime rib plate; served with okra and the "shotgun spud." End with the peach cobbler.

Barely adequate bbq. The ribs were tough and had little flavor. The brisket had very little smoke on it and the smoke ring (which you could see when it was sliced) barely existed. The sauce is ok but a bbq joint should not be rated by the sauce but rather the tenderness and flavor of the meat which was severely lacking.

Too bad they pre-chop the brisket and leave it sitting in a bowl so it's easier for them to plate, instead of slicking and chopping it fresh off the brisket per order. They say it's to make sure the customer gets consistent quality; the best part of the brisket. Yet if you order sliced instead of chopped, you get raised eyebrows and they are forced to slice it fresh off the brisket. Sauce is great.

Best BBQ in town — Just wish they'd open up a shop downtown! And no joke about the cobbler — the peach is my fav, but the apple's good too.
