Adaptive Sports

Crested Butte, CO 866-349-5075 · www.adaptivesports.org info@adaptivesports.org

Rocking Climbing: Experience the thrill of scaling a granite wall while improving balance, strength, agility and problem-solving skills through our rock climbing program. Our full or half day programs take place at the local's favorite climbing spot, Hartman Rocks, where our seasoned guides will provide you with the skills you need to achieve your goals. Safety, etiquette, knots, belaying, rappelling and climbing technique will be covered.

Cross Country Biking: The Adaptive Sports Center has a variety of off-road handcycles ranging from aggressive chest-steered handcycles to recumbent bikes. For foot-powered bikes, the ASC collaborates with a local bike shop, The Alpineer, to supply some of the highest-quality bikes on the market. Our instructors are trained to fit bikes properly, set you up for success and optimize your learning experience.

Down Hill Biking: We'll get you outfitted in a two-wheel or four-wheel downhill bike in our main center at the base area of Crested Butte Mountain Resort, then load the bikes on the chairlift and let gravity take us down. Our instructors will guide you down the mountain and get you over any obstacles along the way. Choose to explore wide and easy trails, or head out on the single-track and learn to negotiate more challenging terrain like rock piles and log jams. We'll focus on increased strength and self-confidence along with establishing good adaptive biking riding technique.

Challenge Course: The Adaptive Sports Center Ropes and Challenge Course is situated among the trees at the top of Red Lady Lift on Mt. Crested Butte. The course offers a fun way for you to push your perceived limitations in a safe and controlled environment.
