Great show. Kurt is a gifted musician but it's not the same without Sam. The Bodeans will never be the the real Bodeans without him.
Gay E. Menditto - SO much to love about this production, I don't know where to begin. The costumes, the theme, the portrayals, the amazing fight scenes, fun swing dancing, beautiful music, etc. etc. I loved that even though I have memorized this play and love it, I did not know what to expect next. Great job!!! ~ Tin Roof.
A wonderful collaboration by NAMI, AspenPointe, CC, and the Independent to bring the issues of mental health into the community dialog.
Saw the Jeffrey Alan Band at the Mill Hill Saloon on Sat nite Oct 22. Had a really great time listening to them. I would go see them again wherever they are playing, and bring some friends to enjoy them as well.
Good stuff. No nudity. Good music. Great costumes. Lovely ladies....
Great MC (Naughty Pierre) stole show with big-head puppets of Shakespeare vs W. Bush.
i want to become a independent mma for 2011 annihilation cage fight just e-mail at double_dickey@ymail.com to tell me how to get started.
Always a great place to have a drink, and a good time. Yes, they have changed the chili, not as good as it used to be.
This is going to be a great show. Fire Aweigh, a new punk rock band is also on the bill. Rocket Room is a great venue, walking distance from The triple nickel. Same great shared clientele. If you're looking for new blood in town, it will be here.
I was there all day, had a great time! Tons of people turned out for this and I'm so glad I went. I lived in Manitou every summer of the late 60's and early 70's and this helped to enhance the nostalgic journey I had planned for this weekend. Especially the true hippies that have stayed all these years and never left. Wish I had done that........
Our daughter was in a volley ball game in Canon City. We stopped after to eat at Pizza Madness. Not only was the food great but the magician, (Marty) they had there was just wonderful. This guy is not a kid magician. He entertained the adults as well. This guy could be in Vegas. We will definitely go back. Good food and great entertainment.
Overall the festival was very enjoyable. The only thing keeping from giving this festival a 5 star-rating was, the disappointing performance by Tool. Being a huge fan, I was sorely disappointed by the muddy sound quality and nearly absent vocals. Something was not right with the mixing and it showed. Most of their songs came across instrumental because it was nearly impossible to hear Maynard. Another sore dissapointment was when Tool left out many of their hits and left the stage nearly a half an hour early. The visuals were awesome, but unfortunately the audio was not. Tool receives a B- from me. (This could be the fault of a hardware failure that caused such poor mixing, but none the less it was not ever fixed.)
Other bands, though, provided very solid "A" performances, Incubus and Galactic being two of them.
All in all, the very best performance was by Davy Knowles. His music and guitar playing was absolutely stunning, easily proving himself as the most talented musician there. Next time, perhaps Tool should be given the smaller time slot and Davy Knowles should headline.
really fun and quirky vocal stylings - a nice new take on the standard jazz repertoire, some originals and folk too!
Heard they give good show
Re: “Beauty and the Beast”
Great show, Beast was awesome; set changes were very creative, Nancy Holiday did a great job adapting this play to her actors. Costumes were very well designed.
