Tried to shop at Marisol Theraputics on Jan 1, 2014 (the BIG day) and have never encountered a worse company. Utterly incompetent and callous to their customers, both medical marijuana users and recreational users. I'm never going back. And when they go out of business it'll be a public service.
Got there at 12:50 pm on January 1, the first day retail pot was legal in Colorado. Marisol got their license to sell recreational pot well in advance so they should have been ready for the influx of customers. I got in an outdoor line I estimate to be about 120 feet long, with I'm guessing 200 people. Though I couldn't see how many people were lined up in the store. I waited over 4 miserable hours in the cold and wind in a line that barely moved, until I got close enough to the store to look in the window and see why the line barely moved.
Marisol only had one cash register active. It appeared that they only had one employee waiting on the one person at a time that could be accommodated. A second register at a separate counter went unused until the occasional medical marijuana customer came along (more on that later). There were many more Marisol employees but they were standing around looking bored and doing nothing. If they were at all concerned with the hundreds of people who had been waiting hours and hours in the cold it wasn't apparent. I could see thru the window that there were around 75 people packed into the store looking furious.
From that point I was 15 feet away from the front door. It would have taken another hour to progress to the front door, and--according to the store security guard and a man in front of me who gave up and left once he finally got into the store after 5 hours--another 2 to 3 hours until I could have bought something. Once I realized that the excessive wait was due to the store's incompetence and lack of planning I decided that I was unwilling to give this crummy company a penny of my money so I left. I was exhausted from the 4+ hour wait. Still I left not because of exhaustion or the additional wait, but because I decided to boycott Marisol.
But wait there's more. I just wanted to buy recreational pot. Marisol made their customers for medical marijuana wait outdoors in the same freezing eternal line. I was standing beside a cancer sufferer who had to keep getting out of line to puke. And after 4 hours a man about 15 feet in front of me, almost to the front door, complained to an employee and at that point was finally allowed to get out of line and go to the medical counter to get what he needed. He was clearly pissed, and for good reason.
Marisol's callousness was just appalling. They could have had signs up directing medical patients to go directly inside to the medical counter. They could have had employees come outside to announce that medical customers could go directly inside to the medical counter. They could have distributed flyers telling medical customers to go directly inside to the medical counter. They could have distributed flyers with their product selection so people could make their choices in line and decide what else to get if the store ran out of some products. They could have done countless things to be more efficient and less callous, but they didn't bother. Hell, some shops even had propane heaters so the people outdoors in line could be less miserable. Not Marisol. Nope. Screw the customers.
A lot of people around me left in disgust without ever getting to buy anything after we got a look into the store and realized that there was only one employee running one cash register. A lot more people vowed never to patronize Marisol again. I'm one of those people.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
MY WIFE IS AND HAS BEEN A MEMBER AT MARISOL FOR ALMOST A YEAR AND THINGS HAVE BEEN WELL TILL TODAY. WE HAVE BEEN TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE 4YR ANNIVERSARY SALE WITH MEMBER OZ AT $135. THIS DONT HAPPEN OFTEN SO MY WIFE DECIDED TO STOCK UP AND BUY WHAT SHE CAN DAILY AND PUT BACK SOME FOR NEXT DAY AS WE DIDNT ASK THEM TO DO IT, THEY OFFERED TO DO IT FOR US. TODAY WE WENT TO PICK UP OUR MEDICINE THAT WAS HELD FOR US AND WAS TOLD THAT THE MEDICINE WAS PLACED BACK ON THE SHELF AND WE COULD ONLY BUY A HALF OZ PER STRAIN. AGAIN MY WIFE IS A MEMBER AND HAS HER PLANT COUNT HANDED TO THEM FOR THEM TO TELL HER SHE IS LIMITED. WE THEN CALLED A FRIEND WHO TOLD US ABOUT THE STRAIN HE HAD PURCHASED THERE TODAY. HE SAID HE PURCHASED AN OZ OF ONE STRAIN. BUT YET MY WIFE IS LIMITED. MY FRIEND IS NOT EVEN A MEMBER AND HE WAS ABLE TO BUY AN OZ OF ONE STRAIN YET MY WIFE CANNOT AND SHE IS A MEMBER....SOMETHING WRONG HERE. I DONT THINK MY WIFE CAN ALL OF A SUDDEN TELL MARISOL THAT SHE DONT WANT THEM TO GROW ALL 6 OF HER PLANTS AT ONE TIME..MAYBE A FEW ONE WEEK AND A FEW ANOTHER. THATS WHAT THEY DID TO HER..PUT LIMITATION ON HER THAT WASNT PUT ON OTHERS. THATS BAD BUSINESS. IM A CAREGIVER, AND I KNOW A TON OF RED CARD HOLDERS WHO SHOP VARIOUS PLACES INCLUDING MARISOL. THE ONLY THING WE CAN DO ABOUT THIS IS TO HAVE MY WIFE'S CAREGIVERSHIP CHANGED OVER(WHICH WE ARE DOING ON MONDAY, FIRST THING) AND SPREAD THE WORD AS TO WHAT HAPPENED TO US AND OUR STORY WITH THIS COMPANY. I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT EV1 KNOWS ON EVERY WEED SITE, ON EVERY SITE I CAN FIND A PLACE TO PUT A REVIEW OR TYPE OUR STORY. WE WANT EV1 TO KNOW THAT WE WAS TOLD THAT MIKE STETLER THE OWNER CAME IN AND SEEN OUR WEED PUT BACK AND SAID NO THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN AND PUT ALL OF OUR PROMISED MEDICINE BACK ONTO THE SHELF AND DIDNT EVEN SAVE US AN OZ..A QUARTER...AN EIGHTH..OR A GRAM OR ANYTHING MY WIFE(THE MEMBER) HAD PLACED INTO HOLD THAT A EMPLOYEE/FAMILY MEMBER SAID COULD BE HELD BACK FOR US. MY WIFE AND I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE RAFFLE WASNT GOING TO WELL WITH ONLY LIKE 25 TICKETS IN THE RAFFLE JAR AT THE TIME OF DRAWING. MY WIFE AND I THOUGHT THERE WAS GOING TO BE A LOSE TAKEN BY MARISOL AS THEY HAD 300 BUCKS IN ITEMS IN A JAR AND ONLY 25 TICKETS SOLD. SO WE THOUGHT, WIN OR LOSE HOW ABOUT WE BUY 155 BUCKS WORTH WHICH IS 31 TICKETS AND SEE IF IT HELPS MARISOL BREAK EVEN A BIT AND GIVE US A LITTLE OVER A 50/50 CHANCE AT WINNING, SHE WON. MY WIFE HAS SPENT HUNDREDS IN THIS DISP OVER THE ENTIRE SALE, AND SHE AND I HAVE WORKED HARD TO GET THERE EARLY AND GET FIRST PICK OF MEDICINE JUST TO HAVE IT STRIPPED AWAY??? I THOUGHT THERE WAS A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE SITUATION. MY WIFE DIDNT SIGN OVER HER PLANTS TO BE TREATED WORSE THEN A NON=MEMBER, AND MARISOL...YOU CAN BET, ILL MAKE SURE TO TELL EV1.
worst experience ever , rude , did not ever get credit for my punches like i was told i would even though they took the card from me. Weights seem off - bud seems tumbled.
Horrible service and poor quality Meds. I thought this place would be great from all the super reviews. Highly disappointed, the Meds were anything but quality. The people were stuck up and rude. If you have high expectations do not go here! You will only be wasting your time and money. They are way over priced for the dirt they try to sell. :(

i love how they have strain specific decent shake. i hate how the girls there act like its such an inconvenience when you ask them to go get it from the back. i dont want to feel like im putting someone out while im handing over my money to them
Sorry, but I wasn't impressed at all with this facility. Pricing doesn't reflect the quality and I didn't feel the people working wanted my business, or didn't care if I bought from them or not. I won't be back. Bad 1st impression, lasting impression.
I was with AOM from the beginning of their business when they were located on Colorado Ave. We were like family, and then the owners moved to a larger, more prosperous business, and everything changed. They have secretaries and front to be high-end. I miss the guys so much but you can't do much when people decide to be more big-business than people oriented. Do not shop here folks, you are a $$ in their eyes. The owners, middle-men, secretaries, etc. DO NOT SHOP HERE.
Like I said, I miss the boys dearly, but I would hate to go to them in an emergency. I have shopped with them for three years, and they refuse to recognize my face- (it is up to them to serve to you or not). Very, very sad with this outcome, and will miss Luke, Billy and Aaron dearly. Wish the feeling was mutual, but money changes people.
I used to drop 100-130 dollars every two weeks for a few years in spite of driving 20+ miles/visit, but it certainly wasn't their problem and let me know.
ya get what ya pay for. Nice peeps but the bud was so low quality. Maybe for baking hmm...
My first trip to this dispensary SEEMED like a nice experience. My boyfriend and I are both patients and went in together. I purchased the product on sale and after I went to work my boyfriend returned to buy additional product. He was told that we received the deal that they offered to every patient (member or not) as a COUPLE and he could not be sold anything else at a sale price.
This is ILLEGAL. They will not let people in without a red card, but if you go together they only offer one deal per couple. When I went back to try to rectify the problem the "herbalist" in the front SCREAMED at me to get out after she had already checked me in. They lied and made up several excuses before they decided to sell my boyfriend the half-ounce instead of us needing to call the police for being denied treatment after already being checked into the facility and threatened. Ironically, they act like they are compassionate and sell Buddhist t-shirts, but they are truly bad people with machine-trimmed bud that is airy and stemmy. They may seem like they have decent prices but they quickly change them and will not be provided to two patients individually if they are a couple.
Unflushed, and UNCURED, WET BUDS. What happened to the GREAT quality that once was. Staff has gotten very rude. Please, Keep the Coupons, I need meds, not a fertilizer induced migraine!!!

Hmmm, didn't actually get to try the meds yesterday, which happened to be 420 BTW.... The line was way too long because the coupons they gave out at 420 expired on 420. Way to go guys........ Not so much.... Thanks, but no thanks, looks like the last review and my own 'personal' experience so far is enough for me. Probably not worth the gas. I'm jus sayin...

Canna is one of the worst dispensaries I have been to. It looks like a free clinic, it's messy and they have paperwork everywhere that anyone can see as they walk in. The bud room is just as disorganized, it takes forever for them to weigh anything out and the bud is brown and odorless. $20-$25 eighths was a good deal 6 months ago, now it's the standard and the other stores have WAY better product (stinky, stoney and green). Sorry Canna... you helped me get my license, but it's not worth it anymore.
