I LOVE this place! Good prices, Amazing gelato and incredible ice cream. You can sample any ice cream and they are quite knowledgable about what they serve. Plus, they have very kind employees.
Wonderful! I've been to pretty much every yogurt place in the springs. This one really stands out. Not only is the yogurt wonderful, but the place itself is beautiful. It is very unique which was a complete surprise. It is designed sleek and modern, has wifi, beautiful brushed metal tables, a sitting area with flatscreen, leather couches and is really a nice place to relax. At the same time its incredibly friendly and inviting, and I was surprised to find the prices were the same as all the other places. It also is impeccably clean, has a great fruit bar, and the owners are incredibly friendly. Truly standout all around.
WONDERFUL frozen yogurt! Better than anywhere else I've been, and the people there are so nice! I can't wait to go back!

Had my sons birthday party at Pikes Peak Ice Cream & Gelato. What an experience. Compared to the same old Itz or Chuckee Cheeze birthday party, this was an amazing experience. Rick is a wonderful gelato master and had (12) 4 year olds mesmerized and in total control the entire time. Best birthday party experience in Colorado Springs and well worth the money. Our family also went to the Air Force Hockey game last weekend and see that Pikes peak Ice Cream & Gelato is now a vendor of their wonderful gelato at Air Force Academy sports events. Keep up the great work!
Not sure about previous comments about the quality of the gelato if the US Air Force Academy selected this company for their fine institution. As for the service, I know the owners kids do work in the store at times....better than having them home on the couch playing video games!

Great ice cream and gelato. The store is also a great community supporter.
good ice cream bad service
the place is in a nice location, the service was nice, but the quality of the ice cream i could of gotten better at the local dairy queen.
Best ice cream in Colorado Springs, maybe the country! Seriously delicious!
My first visit to Pikes Peak Ice Cream was this past weekend when we received a recommendation from a family friend. The gelato was of very good quality and completely on par with the gelato I have had in the various regions of Italy. From speaking to the owner, I understand that they will now be adding a complete line of the nostalgic, cane-sugar soda pops. I saw cases of old favorites such as Bubble Up, Dublin Dr Pepper, Double Cola, Frostie Blue Cream and about a dozen others. In the short time I was there, many of the customers were buying bottles of the old pop top go along with their ice cream purchase. We will definitely frequent Pikes Peak Ice Cream and Gelato now that we know they are there. My question is, why did it take 7 months to find out this store was open in my hometown? They need to continue to get their message out.
This was one amazing experience. First, my daughter (turned 9) had her birthday party at Pikes Peak Ice Cream & Gelato. This was not any party....they offer a birthday party called 'Ice Cream Maker for a Day' whereby my daughter and hte birthday party came back into the kitchen and measured and mixed the gelato ingredients and put the ingredients into the gelato machine. 20 minutes later, my daughter and her friends are eating the gelato that they just made! It was an incredible experience. Secondly, the owners are incredibly nice. You would think that you just arrived home when you walk into their shop. Everyone that works there is pleasant and treats you like family. Their gelato is BETTER than the gelato we devoured in Rome and Florence last summer. In an age of over-priced ice cream stores (Coldstone) and mediocre-quality ice cream (Baskin Robbins), Pikes Peak Ice Cream is a breath of fresh air. A friend just told me that their daughter has selected Pikes Peak Ice Cream & Gelato to cater her wedding in July. They will be providing their Italian gelato in lieu of a wedding cake. That is a very cool idea!
Great coffee! nice place to just chill and have a coffee or a tastey lunch. soups are good did i mention the coffee? I lived in the the NW and this place reminds me of places in Portland and Seattle.
Fantasic doughnuts and even better biscuts and gravy.
Mmmm. Get the Boston Shake. It's a sundae with a shake on top of it. About a million calories, but worth it!
Love this old-timey ice cream place... drive up or walk up -- sit outside so your chocolate dipped cone drips on the sidewalk, not in your car. Try a thick butterscotch malt or shake... they way they were meant to be made. This place is fresh out of 1960 and just as good. Reasonable prices and no-nonsense staff. And, hey, summer 'tis the season!
Re: “Glacier Homemade Ice Cream & Gelato”
This place is the last place I would go for ice cream. Everything behind the glass counter looks past it's expiration date.
That's not as bad as the flavors...they mix two good flavors, like butter pecan with Oreo cookies...yuk.
It costs an extra dollar to put your four dollar single scoop into a cone instead of a cup with a small plastic spoon.
Interestingly, if you watch folks coming in, more folks check the scene and leave without ordering, than actually order and leave with a cup or come.
