Re: “Seoul Tofu Grill

I stopped in to try out this new korean restaurant as im always looking for good korean. I came in skeptical as I've been disappointing with the restaurants around town, but I was very pleasantly surprised!! The meat was marinated perfectly, side dishes were amazing, and the kim chee was to die for! I have found a new place to eat every friday night!

Re: “Orange Plate Café

This is one of Colorado Springs' best hidden secrets. I will definitely be coming back. The service was great, the food was great, especially the kim chi, the best I've had in a long time.

Re: “Orange Plate Café

Fantastic food! Huge portions! Friendly people! The bulgogi hoagie and the breakfast burrito are my favorite!

Re: “San Chang House

One of my all-time favorite restaurants, anywhere. This place is all about the food and I'm fine with that. After 50 or more visits, I've not once been dissapointed. The blissful food will shoot down any qualms you might have over ambience, service, etc. When the food hits the table at San Chang...I could go on and on about it, but in a nutshell, the food is so good that it makes makes me go all "tingly" inside. :)

Try it, they are definately one of the most consistent and passionate restaurants in town.

Re: “San Chang House

I have lived in Korea and am impressed with the authentic quality of their food, although the restaurant seems to be divided into a "Korean side" and an "American side". The Korean Bulgogi Bbque is a consistent favorite of mine. I tried to engage the Korean staff by greeting them in their own language and was ignored - smiles were superficial and not the most attentive. But the food makes up for it and I will be back again!

Re: “Halla San Korean BBQ

A few years ago, Halla San was a lively restaurant that served authentic Korean cuisine (I know, I lived in Korea). My favorite WAS the bulgogi. The proprietor, Jeannie, was always friendly and attentive. I am so sad to say that this is no longer case... We were the only patrons there and the food and service were sub-standard at best. In fact it had an eerie feel, perhaps succombing to the decrepitness of the surroundings. Unfortunately, I highly recommend you do not go here.

Re: “Shin Sa Dong

If you are looking for some great authentic Korean place, then I would recommend this place. Tucked away in an unimpressive mall, Yummy serves up some of the best beef broth based soups I have had. Great for hangover cure. Try their blood sausage and their bibimbap (mixed rice) as well.

Re: “San Chang House

While the lunch special pricing is hard to beat, I always find myself ordering off the dinner menu so I can get the myriad of Korean side dishes from kim chee to fish cakes and everything in between. The side dishes really make the meal. Layer a bite of beef bulgoki, rice and any one of the spicy, flavorful side dishes, then just mix it up next bite and your mouth is exploding with flavor. They even have an octopus dish with whole teeny, tiny octopus mixed with slices of big octopus. The staff is helpful, too, and will explain what everything is so you know what everything is.
