Best Mexican sit down in the city.
I love this place, Carne Asada is great! I drink the beer. lol
I was born and raised in Mexico and this is the only authentic Mexican restaurant in town. Don't be intimated by the location or outside appearance, the place is immaculate and the food is Excellent! The new owner made substantial changes to the menu and the cooks are all different. Try the Barbacoa, and the chicharrones...they can serve the meat in a taco or gordita. This is the real deal everyone!
The tacos are awesome. It's a small shop with only 2 people working there - 2 very friendly, helpful people.
This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Their Enchiladas Tejans is the BEST. It's got large, tender chunks of pork and an egg on top. Can't find it anywhere else. Consistently delicious.
Great food and people!
Didn't try the food, but I went with a friend just to split a pitcher of Margherita. We were up charged for top shelf liquor without requesting it. When we asked the waiter about it, he said all their pitchers are "gold" and cost $25 each. Ridiculous.
Probably my favorite Mexican place I know of in the Springs. Their hours are a little short, so check them before going.
This place is not the best, & the owner wow what a baby. The way he runs this business is just sad. I stated I had some negative experiences & he "bashed" me on his personal FB.
"We were recommended to do a catering job but there is somebody by the name of Carlos Diego Martinez hateing non-Sonchos of course he pulled out the bitch card I can't even tell who he is dude dude looks like a chick never even seen the guy before come to Sonchos straight hater sinse you wanna speak your mind!!!!!funny stuff he gave casa Bonita in Denver 5 stars.. LoL!!!!"
really this is the kind of people I'm suppossed to support?
I will never eat there again. The margaritas are weak, taste like virgin margaritas.
The service was good and I am a fan of beef Fajitas, I like steak fajitas where you have strips of steak, the steak in their fajitas are all shriveled up and dry. Worst beef fajitas I have ever had! Do not ever eat at Pueblo Viejo on Stetson Hills, save your money and save your self from a big
They get 5 stars for their crispy chile rellenos. Outstanding compared to other places & order yours smothered in green chili!
We ate there and the food was fresh cooked and well prepared. I hear a lot bad reviews now its sad because when he started there we where exited to see somebody still cooks with heart and love.
Outstanding, homemade Mexican. The rojo is ridiculously good.
Lived in the Springs for 30 years, but moved to Albuquerque about 10 years ago- was back to visit friends/family and started missing my chile fix, so thought I would visit what was one of my favorite 'mexican' restaurants. Kinda surprised at the change-over to this new place but 'what the heck, might as try it as long as i was there'. Loved the ambience and the wait staff was great. The food - not so much. Thought it was overpriced and so-so. Maybe I have gotten spoiled eating some really great southwestern/new mexican food in 'el Burque'.
Very nicely surprised for a town that has many mediocre Mexican food choices. Locally owned, which is important for those who wish to patronize the mom and pop cafés, while avoiding the big box franchises. Great ambiance, nice wait staff, food exceeded our expectations. Will be back, and will tell our friends to try it out as well.
Simply marvelous. Atmosphere, food, drinks, staff...one feels right at home.
This is one place you need to try if you have not yet! The food is by far the best, and the owner is a great gentleman! Stop by now because you are missing out!
I don't trust any of this...I for one, will not be eating at this place. If they were truly this good they would not have to pull this flash mob posting campaign
When honest questions ensued wondering about the veracity of the majority (if not all) of the comments re Sancho's, there appeared no less than four responses from those same posters declaring hate as the reason for the posts. Come on people, what are you, in the third grade?
One cannot help but wonder if this is the best way to advertise a new restaurant.
