MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM This is yummy Mexican fair with Great service and yummmmmmmy margaritas!
Love the FOOD,Staff, and the people that play at the Dart tournaments(GREAT FUN ) on Mondays and Thursdays and also NFL games that play on Sunday, Monday at
Poblano's Family Mexican Restaurant
Amazing seafood and fish dishes, considering the price and that this is CS. Service is always excellent, quick refills on the excellent chips and salsa. Ambience is a bit quirky - a bright family restaurant coupled with a dark, mellow bar, but I go for the food (especially pork carnitas and ceviche tostada) and staff. If you're looking for good "American-Mexican", ie burrito, taco, enchilada on one plate, you're missing the point of this place.
Fantastic, authentic Mexican food. The tacos al pastor are the best that I've had in this city and the chef's torta ahogada is a pile of carnitas on a soft baguette drowned in a fiery tomato sauce. The chef & owner, Sergio, is very personable and justifiably proud of his food.
It's all so good I've eaten there twice in as many days with plans to go again this week!
I know good Mexican food and this place does, too. Great food, friendly service, reasonable prices.
Been there many times and love it by far the best Mexican food in the Springs area and now with the new menu they also have great American food as well, their BBQ Ribs are awesome best I ever had they also have great steaks and pork chops. They have a friendly staff and give the best service in the area great place to relax and have a couple drinks in their sports bar they have like 10 TV's. Was there on St Pat's Day had the corned beef and cabbage dinner then again on Easter and tried the Prime Rib special both were top notch can't wait for mothers day to see what they will feature. If you haven't been there you have to try it!!!
I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often! Their food is superbly authentic and delicious as is the green and red salsa to compliment your meal. Service is fast and friendly. You won't be disappointed!
I've since moved to Vermont, but dream of lunchtime @ El Taco Rey every day!
You never know what you had until it's gone...COS residents don't take this wonderful food for granted...grab an Av-Pork deluxe every chance you get...
One of my favorite places to eat. Great food, good service, very relaxed atmosphere, very nice location.
I've never had anything I did not like there! Margaritas are a must--so strong, but they go down a little too smooth:) The salsa is the BEST restaurant salsa I've ever had, burritos are huge, chile verde is amazing, and service is always super-friendly!! Beware only the guacamole--heavy on the onion, but it's decent--I just think $3.50 for a 2 oz. cup side order is a little extreme....
Overall, it's the best mexican food in the springs, if you ask me! I take all of my out-of-town visitors there and it always goes over well.
Fast, flavorful and filling. I can't disagree with the details above that recommend the Avo Pork burrito. And believe me, one is enough! Get some of their fresh lemonade and a ginormous slice of their tres leches cake and you may not need to eat again til next month. Close quarters inside, sometimes you may end up at a table with folks you don't know but they're all friendly. Some outdoor tables, too -- or just get it to go. Really great food.
Re: “La Perla Tapatía Mexican Taqueria”
I've had friends from Chicago say they haven't been able to find anywhere else in Colorado that serves up real food like this. I personally have been cutting back severely on my meat intake, but that all goes out the window when I eat at La Perla Tapatia. I dare you to find a better Carnitas in town, and the green chili is original and amazing. Oh, and the Mexican Hot Dog is to die for, and I don't even eat hot dogs.
