Good hometown place to take the family for a relaxed breakfast lunch or early dinner.
Fantasic doughnuts and even better biscuts and gravy.
Huge tasty burgers at reasonable prices. You must try the green chili soup, it is great.
Great food, good service but they are very busy, especially in the summer so plan on a wait. Try the Horney Margarita and hope for a booth.
If you like pasta and fruit and yum in the tummy, you'll love Rasta Pasta. An overall wonderful dining experience in a laid back atmosphere. Something for everyone, meat and veggie alike. Go eat and enjoy the peaceful vibrations of the island. The citrus spice salad dressing is tangy goodness and the Chicken Montego Bay is one of the best dishes on the menu (especially one-up spicey). The Chocolate Jammin' combines jerk and dark chocolate to make a dreamy syrup over vanilla ice cream. For a morning treat, try a zesty Bloody Mary done irie style. Families and single are all fit in together. Bob Marley would be proud of this new Colorado Springs downtown eatery.
The eggplant curry is truly ADDICTIVE, so beware. And when you tell your friends about the food--don't skip the pappadum and sauce--you'll start salivating and have to go immediately. Dangitall...now I have to go there tonight...NOW...
Saw a sign out front recently that they were celebrating their 1 year anniversary. Glad to see a restaurant stick around in this cute little spot. Attentive, knowledgeable service. Fantastic Vietnamese coffee. Flavorful, filling, and unique food options. Love the noodle bowls and the soups, especially this time of the year! Seriously, try them out in a group and you can all try each other's dishes.
Most of their food is pretty basic, sandwiches, bagels, pastry kind of stuff, but their Mate Latte (Yerba Mate green tea with steamed milk) is the absolute best I've found anywhere in town. The fact that they are right next to the Cheyenne Mtn. library, walking distance from my house and have a great patio, make them one of my favorite summer Saturday morning fixtures.
We decided to finally head across town and check out this award winner. The ambiance is nice and the staff very friendly. Starting out with a margarita is definitely the way to go! The chicken mole was very good and had layers of flavor but none were overpowering. The only problem were the sides, the beans and rice were somewhat bland and need to be perked up a bit. This was well worth the drive and we will be heading back to try the chili colorado.
OC Academy has been my home port for the entire decade. Food's good, beer's better, people are the best!
This place has to be in the top 5 breakfast restaurants in Colorado Springs. They're hashbrowns are the best in town (Buttery Perfection).
We love this place from the PO'Boys to the mother of all hamburgers. We just wish the plates came with more of those SUPER FRESH and GREAT SEASONED french fries.
I was recently diagnosed with a gluten allergy (celiac disease) and it's been kind of a nightmare trying to find a restaurant with appetizing gluten-free fare. Following my first meal at Coquette Creperie, I realized that this gluten allergy business wasn't going to be so bad after all. The food is absolutely delicious and the variety of tastes from crepe to crepe never allow boredom to enter into the equation. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable and the staff have always been friendly and extremely attentive.
i was afraid to try a "gluten free" crepe but my partner is very intolerant of the gooey stuff so I gave in...glad I did. kinda magical filling in my bada bing (spicy italian sauce and great sausages) and we even had to try a dessert with fruit filling..a few cocktails later we realized we just didn't want to leave the cool comfort zone. ..who needs gluten anyway
Loved eating here when we lived in Mantiou - especially liked the chicken in mole, fish tacos, and chile Colorado. Outdoor patio overlooking the creek is nice when the weather is nice and when you're not seated next to a smoker (1 star reduction for allowing smoking on the patio).
Really excellent burgers, and you can get HALF of a burger if you're not a big eater. A well run local operation with more than one location IIRC, to include one on Fillmore just west of Union.
The make your own salad choices are superb. I"m not a big fan of the usual boring green stuff that's normally thrown on the table, so this offering makes my day.... try it with grilled chicken, chick peas, roasted almonds and peppers.... sesame seed dressing to top it off.....hmmmmmmm....I actually walk about a mile from my office to get this for lunch about once every other week.
Always friendly, always good food. Atmosphere is great and the staff well trained. I have taken large groups here and they all love it. My Colorado Springs area fav Mexican food.
Billys offers a delicious and bountiful lunch or dinner buffet with a spin from Chicago. They offer homemade pizza, thin and stuffed crust, homemade italian sausage and italian beef and pastas with marinara sauce. The salad bar has numerous choices, I am vegan and break my diet when visiting with my husband, and they are always willing to accommodate special dietary needs. They recently added Chicago Vienna hot dogs to the menu. If you don't like buffets they also offer a full menu. Pack up the car and bring the entire family because everyone is sure to find a delicious choice.
Re: “The Mason Jar - Colorado Avenue”
Good food, rustic surroundings, decent prices.
