The food was terrific. Definitely put this on your "try" list. The chef, Maya, is also the owner and hostess. She cooks your food after you order it; this is not fast food by any means. Make sure you have time to spare when you visit. You'll be using injera (Ethiopian bread that's similar to a crepe in form) as your fork, scooping up bites of food from a large plate. It's messy at first but you improve by the end of your meal.
The food is flavorful and mildly spicy, although you can order it spicier. We ordered a lamb dish and a vegetarian combo to share with each other so we'd have a variety of flavors to try. It was a lot of food.
Prices were great.
Maya is very friendly and welcoming - she's very busy but will take a minute or two to chat with you and answer questions.
Re: “Uchenna”
I love Maya, her food, and her restaurant. The CORRECT address for her website is uchenaalive.com, with 2 As. Please fix this! I've emailed you about it before.
