Ha Ha that sucks. I order custom slices every week and they are freakin awesome!
@Eric-I am never shy about asking for some sort of compensation in a case like you describe and I can't ever remember a restaurant or locally owned business turning me down. Sure, it'd be nice if they'd offered, but don't be afraid to take matters into your own hands.
I'm sorry but I cannot rate this place very favorably. We were just there (Sat evening, July 30) and it was a disorganized mess. The pizza was not bad (although not the best I've ever had or anything), but they completely messed up our order as well as several other customer orders. If they can ever figure things out, they should be in good shape. I was frankly surprised they didn't offer us any sort of comp or anything, that was a little disappointing. Thumbs down at this point.
Well I must say that the pizza was wonderful. I'm from New York and I know Hell's Kitchen does a fine job in making pizza. The only negative is that they don't wear sanitary gloves when handling food. They handle money at the cash register and then take care of the next customer without washing their hands. I find this appalling in this day and age when we must be concerned with infections of all kinds.
We've been eating pizza at Borriello Brothers for years. The service has always been outstanding, the pizza is always fresh and hot just the way we like it and the store is always clean. There are plenty of condiments, the paper supplies are full and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We've brought our out of state family to eat here and they were just as impressed with the place as we have been. We have nothing but rave reviews about Borriello Brothers. And no, we're not employed by them either.
I first went to Pizza Madness over 5 years ago and I've been coming back ever since. Whenever I'm down in Canon or Florence, I make sure to hit up Pizza Madness. For me, I love all the crazy art/statues/friezes on the walls, it's "Madness", yes, but comforting in a really Mom and Pop sort of way. Their pizza is definitely good pizza, but you cannot pass up their bread sticks with their house ranch. Whenever my parents come out to Colorado to visit we always have to hit up Pizza Madness. A few years back I took my out-of-state girl friend and she absolutely loved the place! It also helped that Marty was around to lighten the mood and put on one of the honest to god best close-up magic shows around. Even when he isn't around, the place is still pretty energetic and fun. Their selection of brews always seems to please those of age around too.
We've had lunch delivered several times and each time the pizza arrived hot, on-time and totally NY style! Once you've tasted Hell's Kitchen pizza, you will NEVER go back to ordering from any of the pizza chains again. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed!!!

Who's got balls big enough to serve a hot dog for $10 by calling it a Chicago Dog, then serve it without sport peppers? OC.
Still a favorite place of mine, but their recent "Chicago-inspired Classics" spring menu has felt like a failure in both concept and execution.
The $16.99 10oz loin steak is acceptable but not inspiring and not a great value. The $9.99 Chicago Dog is a straight ripoff.
amazed that a small town mentality about food would dictate bad reviews. Have you people not waited an hour or more for good food. Get a clue The pizza is great . get over the instant society we live in and be patient. or get your lazy but off the couch and go puck it up.
I agree with the previous comments regarding poor service. I have found the hostess' very unfriendly and the food mediocre.
I absolutely love Pizzeria Rustica. Their caprese salad is awesome, and I have never had a bad meal there. I particularily like the Salsicca pizza - it is to die for. Their service is great - last time I was there the general manager came out to say to our table himself. Great time all around.
Whatever your feeling is on their pizza, their inability to refrain from having their commodity trash and all other trash blowing all over speaks to me volumes as to whether or NOT I am going to consume anything from their 8th St. branch. I have watched their staff missing the dumpster and not giving a damn so I'd have to say they don't care inside either.
Wow. I cannot believe the reviews I'm reading. I've ate there three times (including tonight) and never had a bad experience. In fact, I've been to 40 States and 4 continents and given my vast experience the world over, I cannot think of anything bad to say about Pizzeria Rustica... and I've never seen a trashcan in the seating area and never heard of them running out of dough... which could happen considering good pizza like this is made with dough that has had a chance to ferment.
My husband and I eat here 2-3 times a month. The price is great and the pizza is amazing. The service is always friendly and prompt. The resturant is very clean and fun. We just ate their last night and are once again more the happy. We will be back in a couple of weeks :)
They have a web page to order pizza, but they do not check it. WTF! Idiots.
good food, great desserts. beer is just okay.
The menu is huge, which is usually a bad sign. The food was average - nothing special. Typical soul-less national chain.
The salad bar is good, the pizza is ok. Mostly about atmosphere, great to take kids and old people.
Let's be honest....we can still choose where to spend our money for food and this is never my first choice. Delivery is COMPLETELY out of the question as I have NEVER gotten anything good from them in that department but if you go into the restaurant, the food is good. Not great, but good. I have found the best service at the Monument location and everything I have eaten there was good. First choice is always Papa Murphys but occasionally we will stop in and eat at Borriello Brothers.
Re: “Ruffrano's Hell's Kitchen Pizza”
I was perturbed that it took them 25 minutes to make a calzone. I got 2 slices of the macaroni & cheese pizza, which was tasty, but was surprised at how long it took them to bake the calzone. There was nobody ahead of me but I saw 2 take out pizzas (by that I mean I saw someone pick one up and another one that was being delivered). I was disappointed to find that there was a semi decent amount of toppings in it but there was more than 30% of just bread. I've been told it's hit or miss there and in my case, it was a miss.
