This place is over hyped. They have decent pizza, but they do not care about either customers or employees. NY attitude is one thing but not giving a crap is another thing. I briefly worked for them at the Platte location for about three months as a delivery driver. Before that I worked as a driver for another place for six years. They have bad phone lines so orders are hard to take. They often do not have enough drivers working so orders are late. If there was a problem getting an order to a customer I often could not call the customer because I would have an incorrect phone number. Then the manager would just lie to the customer to cover his own ass. The pizza may be OK but there are other places in town that aren't going to treat you like crap and probably have better pizza. Don't give your money to the folks at Borriello Brothers. There is better pizza out there and nicer people.
excellent food, attentive/prompt service, great prices - one of my favorites.
I took the family in to Pizza Madness to see Marty Wayne perform. He was amazing. The trick he did with my daughter's quarter just freaked us out. We still talk about the great time we had there and the food was good too.
Good pizza, good calzones, both with great toppings options, but the sandwiches are GREAT. Especially the cold turkey sandwich. A fresh tasting sub with "better-than-your-average-sub" bread... crusty on the outside, soft on the inside. Simple. Casual atmosphere, friendly service, inexpensive and family friendly.
The best pizza in the springs! highly recomend it.
Had the pizza.would not recommend it. sauce is missing somthing.Flavor. save your money buy a pizza from a grocery store.
Fun place to take the kids, old fasioned setting, the food was only so so but still a bit pricy. Go for the salad bar and a smaller pizza.
Wanting to try something new, myself and some friends decided to drop by Pizza Madness on a friday night and was just astounded when I realized they had a magician. He came over to our table and performed some jaw dropping feats that made us wanting to come back for more. He's just phenominal, and a really nice guy. Ask him to show you to do a trick with a quarter, it just blew us away. And to top it all off the pizza was excellent!
Il Vicino never disappoints! They have a super affordable lunch special that includes a small pizza, salad and soda. Filling in the belly without draining the wallet. Great, friendly, fast service and truly good food. The simplicity of the pizza margherita nears perfection and the salads are full of flavor and delicious ingredients.
Boriello Brothers has once again dropped the ball and shown that they do not know how to run a pizza restaurant.
In case you did not know, they use a call center to take orders, and have (multiple times) had the order put in a completely different location. You can't even talk to a real person at the location that you're ordering from!
Also, in response to the "real" NY pizza comments and claims...if this is true NY pizza, they would carry Baked Ziti Pizza. If you have ever been anywhere near NYC you would realize that every single place has this...it's a staple. Last time I called and asked (apparently a manager at the 8th street location) if they could cook that and they said they "could cook anything." Sooooo, I called them back and asked to order it the next day and all of a sudden I talked to some jackass (probably from NYC) manager who blew me off and said that he couldn't make it. Funny.
This place certainly has the NY attitude we have come to love, but the pizza, business model, and management can use a serious adjustment. Don't give them your business.
If you want real NY pizza, head to NYPD Pizza on Powers!
OC Academy has been my home port for the entire decade. Food's good, beer's better, people are the best!
I have only tried there egg plant and it was very good. The dining atmosphere was average.
These 'reviews' are mostly worthless when so many are obviously written by the owners or their staff or friends. "Pack up the car and bring the entire family because everyone is sure to find a delicious choice..."? Sounds like a damn commercial.
Billys offers a delicious and bountiful lunch or dinner buffet with a spin from Chicago. They offer homemade pizza, thin and stuffed crust, homemade italian sausage and italian beef and pastas with marinara sauce. The salad bar has numerous choices, I am vegan and break my diet when visiting with my husband, and they are always willing to accommodate special dietary needs. They recently added Chicago Vienna hot dogs to the menu. If you don't like buffets they also offer a full menu. Pack up the car and bring the entire family because everyone is sure to find a delicious choice.
Billys offers a bountiful buffet for either lunch or dinner for any and all pizza or Italian food fans. I am originally from Chicago and the pizzas, beefs, and italian sausage here are fabulous and homemade. They also offer an assortment of homemade pastas, lasagna, and desert. The buffet offers a wonderful selection of greens, I am a vegan, but break my diet when I visit Billys with my husband. They are willing to make a gluten free crust if I want to supply it and also put any toppings on a pizza you may want. If you don't want the buffet, they also offer a full menu. Take the whole family and enjoy.
If you like cold and then nuked pizza, this is your place. I prefer an environment that has a bit more class then some fast food joint. I had to go next door to 7-Eleven when i was done eating to get a candy bar to get rid of the bad after taste.
If you don't like their regular crust - try the DeLite crust. They push it as lower cal and lower carb, but really it should just be called thin n' crispy crust - it's AWESOME! Only complaint is that the pepperoni is just right one time and super-spicy the next. Love the onions - they mix white, green and red onion together.
Simply the BEST pizza in Colorado Springs. But some time the pizza is lacking cheese ( 1 out of 3 times).
Re: “Borriello Brothers - Platte”
I love it but quit ordering due to very slow delivery times and always getting cold pizza... it's just too expensive for that and I only live 5 blocks away... sad loss
