I came here for the first time and expected the worst after reading all the reviews. To my surprise I got excellent service. The cashier was very polite, explained the menu, recommended side dishes to go with our pizza because I had a large order for our company. While I was waiting I noticed how helpful he was, he took orders for customers to their car and when he was helping the cooks he always washed his hands first (that was super important to me). I was very satisfied and will always come back.

Didn't try the food, but I went with a friend just to split a pitcher of Margherita. We were up charged for top shelf liquor without requesting it. When we asked the waiter about it, he said all their pitchers are "gold" and cost $25 each. Ridiculous.
The food quality and the service is just not holding up to history of this place. People mention the wine list, but in this day and age, I can have any bottle of wine I want dropped at my door for 1/3 the price. If I'm going to pay the premium for the food and wine, I expect good service. Unfortunately, I believe the blue star has lost the edge in the service arena.
I was very impressed with this restaurant. I thought there food and service was first-rate. Also their bartender (I don't myself drink, so I don't know first-hand) seemed very skilled and earned the praises of the person I was with who *did* order a cocktail.
