For the money, probably the best sit-down breakfast place over here on the East side. Only open for breakfast and lunch, though. The Cimarron Hills neighborhood definitely doesn't have a better breakfast place in the area!
Interestingly enough, these chains seemed to exist in AZ as "The Good Egg" - the restaurants were almost identical. So, if you're ever eaten at "The Good Egg" chain, it's basically the same thing.
Expect standard breakfast food, prepared well - omelets, eggs, bacon; corned-beef hash - that type of thing. Decent (if weak) coffee. I see a wide range of people here from families with hordes of small children to seniors enjoying the chance to sip coffee and read the newspaper. The wait staff is very friendly and seem to go out of their way to accommodate everyone; going the extra mile to bring crying children crayons and coloring sheets, etc.
Nice little place!
Really, how can you say much bad about Rock Bottom? This location is a pretty decent example of the chain, with a fairly talented and creative brew master. It's your standard slightly upscale pub, with appetizers ranging from seared Ahi tuna to regular bar staples like nachos and wings.
It gets a little crazy in the bar area some nights simply because it's so darn busy and there aren't that many places to go out here on the East side... if you can get the attention of the bartenders, most of them quickly and competently can make simple drinks. If you ask for anything complex, you'll be explaining how to make it.
Beer prices are great during happy hour for the fresh, brewed-on-site beer. Food quality ranges depending on the night; I've ordered steaks here and received both excellent cuts of meat and some that I sent back after losing my appetite... and that was for their most expensive fillet which came to my table fatty and overcooked.
I'd stick with the burgers and standard bar food (pizza, nachos, etc) over anything too fancy.
This is the closest sports bar to my house; the wife and I enjoy going here for the occasional beer and lunch/dinner. The only other options around here are large chains; at least for the Cimarron Hills neighborhood. (Rock Bottom and Old Chicago come to mind.)
This is actually a cute sports bar and the food is decent. A 25oz Guinness set me back $6.99 which I felt was a tad bit pricey, but the pours were excellent and the beer fresh. The food prices were good; I had a decent-sized wrap and a cup of some very tasty chicken-tortilla soup for about $10.
So... obviously the profit margin here is made on alcohol, not food. ;) This is true for many restaurants, though.
A few stand-outs - the Buffalo-chicken wrap with fresh carrots and celery as well as the spicy burger (Dynamite burger, or something like that I believe) are very tasty.
The atmosphere is loud and kid friendly, so don't expect this to be a "quiet date night" kinda place. It's a place to bring the kids, have a beer, and watch some sports - with good food and decent if slightly expensive drinks.
Very good and affordable. I've had the sweet/sour chicken, schezschuan, lemon chicken, orange chicken, all the soups, the lo mein, and most of the variety items on the menu. Never had a bad xperience. I highly recommend this place.
The beers are always good, food could use some improvement.
A Cut Above has Lovely high end quality magazine picture buds that will just make you druel at the natural smell and taste , Choices are good and nicely cured among strains ranging in the 7- 10 quality range. Price's are reflective however with only a 2 oz break on price.
Staff is friendly and professional
Their product is an enjoyable treat for me but difficult to afford on a continual basis.
worth visiting when you want to pamper yourself a little bit

Meds were okay, not the best, but the did have a great location and a very nice staff. Prices were steep which is the main reason I never returned. Sad they have to shut down though... Seemed to be one of the 'better spots' in town despite the high prices. No pun intended.
HAVING NOT BEEN IN BEFORE WE WERE A LITTLE UNSURE GOING SOMEWHERE WE HAD NEVER BEEN. UPON ARRIVAL WE WERE WELCOMED AND THE STAFF AND CREW WERE MORE THAN ACCOMDATING. WE WENT ON TO HAVE A GREAT TIME. SUCH A FUN ATMOSPHERE. I WOULD SUGGEST ANYBODY AND EVERYBODY GO CHECK IT OUT.
A friend of mine had her baby shower at the Lennox House. It was very quaint and private. The snacks that were provided were delicious and the owner did a great job of keeping up with the guest’s appetites. The dining area and living area were small though. I would suggest limiting your party to 10 people.
Food is well above average, service is excellent. On thurs. they do $2 pints/$4 martinis!!! are you kidding me? Great place to go for after work happy hour!!
I've only been to the 8th St location twice and it has always been a good visit. The meds are great and the prices are fair in my opinion. The staff is awesome, great customer service. Only bad thing I noticed was that their sweet grass brownies were expired maybe? Not the best I've had but overall its a great dispensary and I'll go back when I'm in the area =)
We were there last weekend, and we had a blast! The food, especially green chile was delicious and the staff was a lot of fun. There is always some activity goin on there! We will definitely be back. I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinions...
We've been enjoying Jose's since 1976; the ambiance has changed over the years to more of a family atmosphere lately, but the food is consistently excellent. Love the margaritas and chili rellenos, especially. Usually good service; every once in awhile we go for long periods without finding our server, but we usually get good coverage. The patio is awesome.
I've been frequenting the Keg for over 20 years and I have always had a enjoyable time and been treated in a friendly and courteous fashion. It is normally filled with local folks, relaxing and having a good time with friends. The food and beverages are GOOD and there is a nice variety to boot. The Keg is a classic Manitou neighborhood hangout!

Please disregard my poor excuse of a review above. The owner solved the issues that we had and he did it with a much better attitude than I did. Go and enjoy pjs bistro and try the bacon and blue cheese burger, it is excellent.
We visited mid-week and enjoyed a sampler platter with meat pies, jerk shrimp, and codfish balls. They were all very good, served hot and fresh. We had jerk pork and brown stew jerk pork as our main dishes. The cornbread was delicious - a non-standard recipe that's almost good enough to be dessert. The home-made jam spread on top was a winner. We ordered a bunch of food to try it all and did end up taking some of our jerked pork dishes home - of course they were delicious the next day, too. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Management, the chef, another chef, and the wait staff all checked by to see how everything was. We really enjoyed our meal and will go back again!
A "Diamond" in this truly rough Colorado Springs culinary scene. Chef Davis has manage to bring to this city something long needed and looked for. Southern/Cajun cuisine and the atmosphere/feel of dining in the French Quarter. My first experience at Springs Orleans, I almost forgot what city I was in for a bit, which is not a bad thing every once in a while. A wonderful place for a 3-4 course meal, or suits just as well for Beignets and Cafe Au Lait. If you happen to catch the musical talents of Thomas Dawson (Pianist for the Commodores usually there Thurs-Sat nights) the experience is taken to a whole other level. A wonderful dining experience.
comfortable atmosphere not all bar tables, open to 11, kobe hamburger cooked right, beer battered fish and chips are great. They have bbq but havent tried it .
Glad's has the best bbq ribs, chicken, and pecan pie pie I've ever had. Their sides are also very tasty, especially the green beans and mac & cheese. Cornbread is tasty, but too crumbly. We try to go there at least once a month. The owner and his wife are very personable. Two things I'd like to see: discontinuing use of styrofoam plates and cups and plastic cutlery (due to their not degrading in landfills) I prefer eating from real dishes and glasses when I go to a restaurant. Also I'd be happy if they offered unsweet tea as well as their sweet tea. Despite these small glitches, we'll continue to come to Glad's!
Re: “White Mountain Medicine”
Wow Was I Impressed with this place. They have great Medicine with Awesome prices. I will defiantly be back. I would recommend there Chemdawg X Alien O.G cross or the El Diablo. Jenny
