Re: “The Famous

The best place for a steak in southern Colorado. Don't have a friend to go with? Have a drink at the bar, have a delicious steak, and as long as you're reasonably friendly and interesting you'll surely make a friend there. Favorites include the rib eye medium rare, the filet charred rare, and the old fashioned. The bar and restaurant staff are friendly and are real pros. I usually go to the Famous on Thursday nights. It is less busy than Friday and Saturday, plus the pianist, Ken Janzen is there all three of those nights. He is really a terrific performer. You can't go wrong for lunch or dinner.

Re: “The Famous

ZANE'S STEAKHOUSE SUCKED- ZANE'S GAVE ME FOOD POISONING (I have the credit card receipt and the Emergency Room documents) AND IS NOW CLOSED. I GUESS THAT SAYS IT ALL. THE FAMOUS HAS EXCELLENT FOOD, ATMOSPHERE AND WAIT STAFF. I think "SmartestMonkey" needs to rethink his/her name because you are truly an effing moron. The meal was "expensive" at Zane's because of the ER co-pay, Einstein.

Re: “O'Malley's Steak Pub

This is a casual, fun place to go. The wings are the best I've had since leaving the east coast... The beer prices are great - $3 for a 16oz. fat tire is their regular price!!

Re: “Texas Roadhouse

The steaks and fish there are great. Great atmosphere, friendly folks working there, plenty of parking, nice place over all. The only thing is sometimes, like most popular restaurants, it can get very crowded.
