Re: “Bricks Sports Bar & Grill

Lots of improvements both inside and out. The owners and staff work very hard to keep everyone coming back again and again. If you are looking for a place that has something for everyone's taste, you need to check them out!

Re: “Mill Outlet Fabric Shop

I would give 5 stars except for the service is not as reliable or respectful as it could be throughout the staff. Staff is older and assumes you know what you want and where to find it. They don't take kindly to having to walk around the store themselves. I hope I'm not being fair and this was just one person among them who displayed this lackadaisical attitude to a first time customer who plans to be a repeat one if it hounds you to death. lol STILL this is a phenomenal store as far as its content. Unique and well stocked.

Re: “Piramide Boutique

Love the hemp clothing, designed with comfort in mind, and perfect wear for the artist in you. Sometimes it's a bit more hectic than I like, maybe because it is tourist season then, but there is another store in Old Colorado City! That is an alternative to seasonal crowds. They have everything you could want at Pyramide! Hats, jewelry, bags, and scarves included.

Re: “Trinity Brewing Company

I have not been there in some time but when I was I really appreciated all the Belgian ales on tap. That is very hard to find. If you appreciate Belgian ales you can do worse.

Tejon- I usually like your reviews but it seems like it's personal with you. You have too many entries on here and it's watering down your comments. Just my thoughts.

Jason is kind of a hippy dude, I met him when he was the brewmaster at Bristol's. He certainly has talent.

Re: “Yarn Outlet

The Yarn Outlet has graduated from being a discount yarn store to being a top destination for every yarn from I'm-just-learning-acrylics to designer cashmere, silk, alpaca and organic hand-painted special fibers. Their needle and accessory selection is great and it is now even less likely that you can leave without buying something. The owner is helpful and friendly and so are the knitters, of whom I am happy to be a regular one.

Re: “KRCC 91.5

Would you believe that this station has fans (and strategically placed bumper stickers) in the Soho section of New York City?

Re: “KKTV Channel 11

The best of the Colorado Springs stations as far as news. They blew away the competition on covering last summer's inferno. And their newscasts can be viewed on the internet from anywhere- a big plus when you're on vacation and want to catch up on the news from home.

Re: “KKMG-FM Magic 98.9

Typical top 40 station- but with a fresher playlist than usual for a smaller market like Colorado Springs and Pueblo.

Re: “96.1 FM The Beat

Best of the local stations as far as contemporary music goes- but a bit too Clear Channel packaged. And for some reason, their signal is weak in the northern sections of the Springs.

Re: “Tree of Wellness

One of the better places in town. The Super Lemon Haze is real good for migraines. Prices are awesome and the girl helping me was super beautiful. I also got a free gram of kief so thank you very much!

Re: “Stadium Bar and Grill

This is the closest sports bar to my house; the wife and I enjoy going here for the occasional beer and lunch/dinner. The only other options around here are large chains; at least for the Cimarron Hills neighborhood. (Rock Bottom and Old Chicago come to mind.)

This is actually a cute sports bar and the food is decent. A 25oz Guinness set me back $6.99 which I felt was a tad bit pricey, but the pours were excellent and the beer fresh. The food prices were good; I had a decent-sized wrap and a cup of some very tasty chicken-tortilla soup for about $10.

So... obviously the profit margin here is made on alcohol, not food. ;) This is true for many restaurants, though.

A few stand-outs - the Buffalo-chicken wrap with fresh carrots and celery as well as the spicy burger (Dynamite burger, or something like that I believe) are very tasty.

The atmosphere is loud and kid friendly, so don't expect this to be a "quiet date night" kinda place. It's a place to bring the kids, have a beer, and watch some sports - with good food and decent if slightly expensive drinks.

Re: “Pikes Peak Brewing Co.

The beers are always good, food could use some improvement.

Re: “A Cut Above - Fillmore

A Cut Above has Lovely high end quality magazine picture buds that will just make you druel at the natural smell and taste , Choices are good and nicely cured among strains ranging in the 7- 10 quality range. Price's are reflective however with only a 2 oz break on price.

Staff is friendly and professional

Their product is an enjoyable treat for me but difficult to afford on a continual basis.
worth visiting when you want to pamper yourself a little bit

Re: “Todays Health Care - Eighth Street

I've only been to the 8th St location twice and it has always been a good visit. The meds are great and the prices are fair in my opinion. The staff is awesome, great customer service. Only bad thing I noticed was that their sweet grass brownies were expired maybe? Not the best I've had but overall its a great dispensary and I'll go back when I'm in the area =)

Re: “Kelly O'Brians Sports Bar & Grill

We were there last weekend, and we had a blast! The food, especially green chile was delicious and the staff was a lot of fun. There is always some activity goin on there! We will definitely be back. I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinions...

Re: “José Muldoon's - Tejon St.

We've been enjoying Jose's since 1976; the ambiance has changed over the years to more of a family atmosphere lately, but the food is consistently excellent. Love the margaritas and chili rellenos, especially. Usually good service; every once in awhile we go for long periods without finding our server, but we usually get good coverage. The patio is awesome.

Re: “Keg Lounge

I've been frequenting the Keg for over 20 years and I have always had a enjoyable time and been treated in a friendly and courteous fashion. It is normally filled with local folks, relaxing and having a good time with friends. The food and beverages are GOOD and there is a nice variety to boot. The Keg is a classic Manitou neighborhood hangout!
