My husband and I just had dinner at the Creekview Grill tonight. They food was very good, but the service was lousy! Unless you are there to belly up to the bar and flirt with the bartenders and waitresses, you will get overlooked. Sorry to say, but we will not be back for quite some time. Maybe someone reading this will realize there needs to be better management of the restaurant.
Don't waste your time or money if you expect good service, you won't find it here!! The waitresses act like even the simplest of request is a bother. We won't be back, there are too many good Mexican food restaurants in the area!!
Not sure if they are competent. First they ran out of shrimp. They took our orders and came back to the table 40 minutes after we ordered and told us they ran out of chicken, so members of our party had to reorder. Served another party member a frozen margarita and forgot to put in the alcohol. Very very slow. Do you guys know what you are doing?
This used to be a good place. Did it change owners? Haven't been in a while and decided to stop about a month ago. Wow has it changed! The food isn't at all what it used to be. BBQ is dry and has a bitter taste to it. Thought maybe they just were having an off day. Stopped at the convenience store in Black Forest and didn't know that they had a location there. Not a good sign when you pull up and the guy running the store was outside smokin weed. The store is very dirty and they guy working seemed put out when I ordered. Needless to say it was worse than my last experience. I didn't even get sauce with the BBQ and again the strange bitter taste. Couldn't even finish our food. Won't be goin back unless the original owner comes back.
I visited this establishment for the firt time on June 4, 2011 with two friends. It was after the wine fest and we wanted to sit, have some drinks, and have some food. One of the persons with us was the DD, so she ordered water. My friend and I recieved our drinks right away, but the water for the DD took 20 minutes. I found the bartender and asked him for the water, explaining it had taken 20 minutes. When the water came it was brown and dirty. My friend (not the DD) asked the bartender for another water, explaining the one he sent was dirty. At that time he pointed at me and said I was "hasseling him" already about the water and refused to replace it. When I asked for the owner he falsely claimed to be the owner (I found out by calling later) and told me to leave "his " bar. He even went so far as to call the police to make me leave, though I was waiting for the DD to come back from the restroom. When I called later to find out who the owner was he answered the first time and told me he wouldn't get into trouble because his mom owned the bar. IDK if mom wants her business run like that, but if this is any indication of how it is going to be run, then I and my associates will frequent another establishment. Love Manitou, very much dislike the Keg. I can't rate the food or value because I was told to leave before it came.
The Alligator Bites were inconsistent. They were different sizes (All were very small), some had more breading than others and some were chewy. They were greasy and had a very bland taste. I also got a bowl of the Chicken & Smoked Sausage Gumbo and was shocked that it contained 90% rice & only 10% Gumbo. It only had 5 small pieces of meat in it. Rice was not at all mentioned in the description on their menu (Online or in-store). I was shocked they charged me $5.99 for a bowl of rice! If you have to do this to your Customers than you need to close the restaurant. I felt the product was not worth the money at all and I was deceived. I will NEVER eat at Culpepper's again!!!
High prices, small portions, bad service.
1. A bowl of soup costs $12.95! I can get a small steak at Outback with sides for the price of broth and a little chicken mixed in here.
2. Another entree item (noodles & beef costing over $10) filled up just over a third of the standard take-out styrofoam box--that is about half the amount I would expect from an entree.
3. I called in the order, had to repeat myself four or five times over the differences from the old menu to a new menu; when I got home one of the items was the wrong thing (a difference between the menus) and the manager refused to fix it.
Find a better Thai restaurant for your hard-earned dollars, this place isn't worth it.
Some of the worst BBQ I have ever had and I know my BBQ. The brisket tasted like it was broiled in an over, the ribs were fatty and I'm not sure what the sausage was made from. The side dishes consisted of baked bean ( tasted like they came from a can) and potato salad (absolutely no flavor what so ever. The only good things I have to say was the portions were large and the service was good.
Way overpriced, and lacks ambiance.
I heard this place had super fresh fish with an Elvis twist so I checked it out today. I just had a Rainbow Roll, not all you can eat. The fish was indeed very fresh and it was topped with sweet tobiko. All was fine until I went to pay the bill. Instead of being charged $10.95 as on the menu, I was told the price was $12.95 because of the new computer cash register. I asked why the menu was a different price and was told "all prices have gone up but they don't have a new menu yet." They insisted on charging me a price 20% higher than advertised. I will never go there again.
Horrible service if you are non white! Stopped after church while visiting friends in Colorado Springs. Had to open other section to seat our group of 5. Other groups arrived after us, but our group order was the last taken. When our waitress went by, she never stopped to see if beverages needed refill. Food was delivered to all tables around us. When waitress asked another table if they were "fine and in need of anything", I spoke up and said" No things are not fine, we need our food" The reply was "well when it's cooked, I'll get it". Needless to say, we left. No service-no pay-no tips. Don't go there if you are non-white!
Not worth the money! I came here for a girls'-night-out and we were seated by the piano; all we could focus on was the "colorful" language we heard coming from the kitchen. The food and drinks were mediocre at best, and the servers were obviously overwhelmed. Also, after being open for almost a year, you would expect this place to have some sort of sign, but this is not the case. To top it off, as I was leaving, I passed by the side-door and had who I believe was the yeller with colorful language from the kitchen tell me to "have a good evening" as he sat in a sweaty, dirty t-shirt and shorts and smoked a cigarette. I would expect this sort of behavior and attire from a fast food restaurant, not an upscale jazz club. I absolutely advise against going here!
The owner has been rude to me too many times. Although the food is decent, I don't feel welcome and the owner and staff are beyond abrasive.
Food was marginal at best, there was very little curry flavor in their curry. We tried it once, and won't be back.
I will never come back to that place!!!
This place is totally over rated. The service and food are below average. I too have given this place several chances over the years and it never gets better. I am baffled how they win Indy awards so often. Go to Western Omlette if you want a treat.
I have given this place three tries and there will not be a fourth. I don't know where this other person got such good foof and service. We were hoping for BETTER FOOD (ordered the same thing that I would order at other places, but here no taste), better SERVICE (we didn't have fast service at all not to mention the waitress didn't even care about what we really thought about the food), and better CUSTOMER CARE (it would of been nice if when we said we didn't like the food that they would say more then sorry to here that and not even offer some sort of refund or please try us again and give us a try with a discount (not that we'd use it). The thing that really was bad was they wouldn't even take our coupon for them, because they said it was a holiday and they don't take the coupons on a holiday (I understand that BUT the coupon DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT NOT TAKING IT ON HOLIDAYS) When we checked out THAT'S when she SHOWED us the thing about not taking coupon on holidays. Sorry on both us and them, I don't like to tell someone that's a bad place to eat, but I'm just telling it like it was for us. If you give them THE BEST PLACE TO EAT AWARD FOR 2011, then that will just tell us your rating is a bit off. Thanks for letting me tell you about our dinning experience.
Oops, looks like one star is the minimum. FOOD POISONING ! Have gone here few times, was OK. However on 3/11/11 we had fish tacos and chile rellenos/ steak tacos. Mine was OK. A few hours after eating, my daughter a healthy twenty-year-old, with no food allergies, got violently sick with vomiting and diarrhea all night. She had not eaten since 10:30 that morning- so no other causes. She has had the same item there before. The following morning I called and talked to manager. She seemed neither surprised nor concerned, saying that stuff is going around. ER Doc said if you get sick within a few hours of eating-it was the meal that got you. Looks like stuff is going around _IN THE KITCJEN_.
Have since talked to local neighbors who skip this place.
Poblano's needs a surprise visit from Health Dept!! You decide, whether you want to roll the dice here! An elderly person could get finished off by food-borne pathogens.
Tasty enough cupcakes, and cute too. But honestly the customer service is horrid. It's not worth dealing with them. The product would have to be world-class for that.
Re: “La Creperie Bistro”
I have been a patron of this restaurant for going on 7 years now. Though I do not come in every Sunday, or even every month, I would say that I am (or rather, was) a frequent customer at this establishment. For years I have enjoyed the delicious savory crepes filled with delicious flavorful sauces and cheeses and never once before my last visit has the food been cooked to anything less than perfection. It pains me to write this awful review of such a formerly great establishment. This past Sunday I visited this restaurant looking forward to sitting down in their great ambiance and enjoying a crepe filled with poached eggs and spinach as I often do. Poached eggs is no longer an option on the menu so I asked the waitress who was very kind and told me it would not be a problem. My dining mate ordered herself up some eggs Benedict. So far this dining experience was no different than usual. However, things were about to take a turn toward the negative. No, not just negative, but the most unprofessional act, I as both a patron and a food service worker has ever experienced or witnessed in my life. As our food was laid down before us and the first few bites were taken, we both noticed as we looked at each other that something was different about the food. In general it seemed very bland, and both our eggs were very overcooked and had come out cold. Not a huge deal right? The waitress came over and asked us how our food was and I (since I in general really do not like to complain) only politely and meekly mentioned the overcooked eggs. She apologized and walked away. About five minutes later, one of the women I saw working in the kitchen stopped by and asked if we were happy with our meals. I decided to get a little more specific, as did my dining partner, as we attempted to explain the reason we were unhappy with our meals. This is when the problem began. The women walked away mid sentence, YELLING into the kitchen that “TABLE EIGHT HATES THEIR FOOD!”. To be perfectly clear, hate was not a word that was muttered in any capacity. After this I was understandably upset with the unprofessional-ism of this worker, but the worst was yet to come. Five minutes later when our embarrassed waitress came over to ask us if we needed anything, I felt the need to clarify that we did not hate the food. I began explaining to her that we have been coming to this restaurant for many years and just felt that it was not as good as it has been in the past and that we felt disappointed. I actually felt bad since she went into the kitchen telling her crew that they suck. As this conversation was taking place, an older woman came from the kitchen, and after hearing what I was saying, quickly interrupted me with the abrupt words “We are not interested”. I was baffled! I stared in disbelief. She continued by asking me “Why are you doing this? Why are you complaining?” Completely baffled I think I got two words out somewhere along the lines of “I’m not com-“ Before we were asked to leave the restaurant. WE WERE ASKED TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT! Our poor waitress standing there horrified and embarrassed, apologized. The woman, who later was revealed to be the owner of the establishment, was standing near the kitchen entrance waving and mouthing “goodbye” to us. Even though she told us our money was no good there I insisted to our waitress I be billed. We informed her that her boss was far too insecure to run a restaurant and we headed out wishing the woman a nice day. I was beyond angry when leaving. This woman is not prepared to run a restaurant if mild non specific feedback throws her world into chaos. Until now I wondered why a new crepe place opened three doors down. My guess is that this lady is the reason.
