Re: “Trinity Brewing Company

Went here to celebrate my birthday Feb. 2010. Ambience was unique, we sat on couches in the back b/c there was a group of us. I wasn't impressed with the sliders I ordered and would have liked to see a more diverse menu overall. This seemed to be the consensus of the group. If I just wanted to go for drinks, I might consider going back as their beers were good, but a bit pricey.

Re: “Culpepper's Cajun Kitchen

Gumbo lacks substance. Cuisine is fair but lacks authentic flavor.

Re: “Bird Dog BBQ - Stetson Hills

Barely adequate bbq. The ribs were tough and had little flavor. The brisket had very little smoke on it and the smoke ring (which you could see when it was sliced) barely existed. The sauce is ok but a bbq joint should not be rated by the sauce but rather the tenderness and flavor of the meat which was severely lacking.

Re: “José Muldoon's - Tejon St.

Standard "whitey" Mexican food that can be found anywhere. Insipid.

Re: “Texas Roadhouse

Decent food but the atmosphere mimics a train wreck. Incredibly noisy. Go elsewhere.

Re: “Giuseppe's Old Depot Restaurant

Nothing great, unless you're a train watcher, then sit by the windows and enjoy it.

Re: “Coffee Cup Café

Been there several times. Clientele a bit rough, lots of F bombs. Food was hit and miss. My egg/sausage sandwich was to die for the first time I went, then never came close in later visits. Burnt toast. How in the hell can a place that's been around this long burn the toast. Their other location in Gleneagles also burns the toast. An amateur operation.

Re: “La Casa Fiesta

The atmosphere was campy and the food was middle of the road.

Re: “Five Guys Burgers and Fries

.. not impressed. I was told that this place is almost as good as "In and Out Burger" .. not even CLOSE!. The burger tasted like a cacophany of everything that'd been cooked on the grill that day (onions, peppers, mushrooms .. all mixed together with that greasy taste from a grill that hadn't been cleaned for awhile). The fries were undercooked and needed to be drained a bit (oil leaking thru the paper bag). I don't get the hype. It's no better than Fatburger or any other mid-range burger joint trying to make a name for itself, and I can't imagine it having many repeat customers unless they're just used to mediocre-quality food or they have low food-appreciation standards.
What ever happend to Fudruckers?? Now that was a burger restaurant.

Re: “Firehouse Southern Style BBQ

I ordered shredded brisket with 2 sides and corn bread. It was disappointing as soon as the plate arrived, due to the skimpy servings and considering the price (as in overpriced), it didn't look all that appetizing either. The not overly generous serving of brisket was barely warm as if it had been sitting awhile; didn't taste great, but ok. The sides I ordered came in really tiny bowls and were nothing more than ordinary. The cornbread came on a separate plate and was such a small serving, it looked lost. Overall, I felt ripped off by the price of the small portions and the food itself. There are far better bbq places to be found.

Re: “Fujiyama

I was very surprised to see a 20% tip automatically added to my bill after what had been a wonderful meal. I asked to speak to the manager about this who told me that this is their policy at the sushi bar due to customers not tipping. I have no problem tipping, but it’s at my discretion based on service, not theirs based on bad customers! I will not eat there until this policy is removed!
