Really, how can you say much bad about Rock Bottom? This location is a pretty decent example of the chain, with a fairly talented and creative brew master. It's your standard slightly upscale pub, with appetizers ranging from seared Ahi tuna to regular bar staples like nachos and wings.
It gets a little crazy in the bar area some nights simply because it's so darn busy and there aren't that many places to go out here on the East side... if you can get the attention of the bartenders, most of them quickly and competently can make simple drinks. If you ask for anything complex, you'll be explaining how to make it.
Beer prices are great during happy hour for the fresh, brewed-on-site beer. Food quality ranges depending on the night; I've ordered steaks here and received both excellent cuts of meat and some that I sent back after losing my appetite... and that was for their most expensive fillet which came to my table fatty and overcooked.
I'd stick with the burgers and standard bar food (pizza, nachos, etc) over anything too fancy.
The beers are always good, food could use some improvement.
comfortable atmosphere not all bar tables, open to 11, kobe hamburger cooked right, beer battered fish and chips are great. They have bbq but havent tried it .
The beer is 5 stars. 5 stars for the house brews and 5 stars for the large variety of excellent guest brews. I always have a fovorite or two to drink and a new one to sample. Food os goof, not great. They are not trying to be a restaurant...they ae supplementing the beer. Service has been friendly.
Fritz sounds like hes upset about Andy leaving phantom or something. A salad with one green? I'm calling BS on that one! I absolutely love the grilled salmon salad. Always done right. I've had positive experiences each time Ive eaten here, so it's worth checking out.
Very good place. We had an excellent evening. Not sure what Fritz is talking about. The beer was great and so was the food.
Beer drinker? You'll be in heaven at Trinity. Don't drink beer? That's OK, try the Pear Cider. Their food has greatly improved since they first opened. Lots of veggie-friendly options, or for the meat eaters, a bacon basket! Make sure to check out their calendar online. They have lots of events, art shows, music and such going on each month.
Re: “Trinity Brewing Company”
I have not been there in some time but when I was I really appreciated all the Belgian ales on tap. That is very hard to find. If you appreciate Belgian ales you can do worse.
Tejon- I usually like your reviews but it seems like it's personal with you. You have too many entries on here and it's watering down your comments. Just my thoughts.
Jason is kind of a hippy dude, I met him when he was the brewmaster at Bristol's. He certainly has talent.
