Seafood prepared spicy! Super flavorful dishes... Unfortunately, I can't remember any of the 'real' names for them... but the large shrimp wrapped in bacon and fried ... TO. DIE. FOR. Also the shrimp and jalepeño peppers in a red sauce (she warned me it was spicy!) wrapped in tortillas was absolute heaven. Ginormous portions -- my meal lasted for 2 big lunches -- but there is no difference in lunch/dinner prices. Everything is one size and the same price all day (mostly $10-$15).

The menu is great because there are photos of a lot of the food as well as descriptions. They do have beer and a big, clean dining room and friendly service. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you, so I'd call it upscale fast Mexican seafood. Would be fun to go as a big group and all get different dishes and share.

Very good BBQ and I'm not even "into" BBQ. Good portions, interesting recipes for sides, fantastic pies. Four stars only because its location is an old house, which provides ambiance I guess, but also makes it a tad crowded and cramped. But really, the food is very good and service is good also.

This is one restaurant where the buffet is almost as good as ordering off the menu. Whether you have experience with Indian food or don't know if you like it, go for the buffet to try it out. They seem to always have a fully stocked salad bar, tandoori chicken, naan bread, paneer, samosas, and mix up the curries and other veggie dishes. There is also always rice pudding and malpuda (deep fried pancakes in syrup). Find what you love and go back at dinner!
Order a lassi (mango is great!) to end the meal with a sweet Indian smoothie. Friendly, attentive staff, too.

Best pizza by far that I've found outside New York. They lose a star for charging $10.50 for a pitcher of Bud light but their pizza rocks and they know how to cook it. They need to send someone over to the downtown location to teach them how to cook a pizza pie.

Love this old-timey ice cream place... drive up or walk up -- sit outside so your chocolate dipped cone drips on the sidewalk, not in your car. Try a thick butterscotch malt or shake... they way they were meant to be made. This place is fresh out of 1960 and just as good. Reasonable prices and no-nonsense staff. And, hey, summer 'tis the season!

Jake and Telly's has my vote for all around best patio. The fact that they have great, fresh food and awesome martinis is just gravy! Speaking of gravy, be sure to try their taziki, it rocks!

They just added a wonderful appetizer of purple rice and bean looked like a sushi roll but was instead a stack..... loved it. . . service was top notch. Asked for a wine selection and it was perfect. Really enjoyed the meal. Recommend it highly.

Il Vicino serves a wide variety of brick oven pizzas, calzones, panini, salads, soups, and pasta. However, there is such a wide variety of pizza, I haven’t tried anything else yet. Most are really yummy. My favorites are those that don’t have the traditional pizza sauce; garlic oil, pesto, balsamic marinara sauce, and spicy oil are all great. Every day they have a special pizza and you can select your own ingredients as well. I have chosen a couple of their pizzas that are a bit bland, but for the most part they are very good. On the table there is a bottle of spicy oil that, even though I am not a big fan of spicy food, I love to drizzle on all the pizzas I have tried.
This isn’t some cutesy Italian joint. The interior is modern and somewhat industrial. They also brew their own beer and I have heard very good things about it from friends who are hops heads. If you aren’t a fan of all the chain restaurants and want a friendly place with great brick oven pizza I defiantly suggest trying Il Vicino.

Great open space, attentive staff, GREEN biz and yummy, yummy menu. Try the hot chicken salad (hot wings style fried chicken breast on greens LOADED with bleu cheese) or the Ploughman's Lunch (a traditional Irish plate of cold meats, cheeses, olives, garlic, veggies, etc served with breads). Oh yeah, there are the fries with curry dip. Trust me, come hungry.

Being a native New Yorker, I am often back there to visit family. And when I do, I have to have two things - pizza (preferably a white slice) and White Castle. Borriello Bros. is the closest to NY pizza I have had in the Springs! Very convenient location with plenty of parking. 4 stars (not 5) due to the Yankees stuff everywhere – I’m a Mets fan!

Fun bar for Sunday football games and other weekend sports. Truly great brunch and lunch menu. A mix of traditional bar options plus hearty homestyle pot roast, bison and elk options -- plus yummy, unique salads. Really good bartender (Lindsey) and servers. Attentive, friendly and fast.

Corner Cafe is nothing short of delicious. The soups, the sandwiches (hot AND cold!) and the salads are all to die for. But the best part? The absolute REASON for going? The french fries. I'd venture to say they may be the best in town. And if you need the perfect sidekick to the fries, go for the bacon cheeseburger. It melts in your mouth.

Also, the service is impeccable and if not for the somewhat steep prices on some items (expect to pay $11+ for a sandwich, fries, and a drink) I'd rate Corner Cafe 5 Stars.

I love dropping by Garden of the Gods Gourmet for the samples they always have out and about. Their sandwiches are delicious and I've enjoyed many of their take-and-bake items as well. The only thing I wish they'd do is add natural/organic/grass-fed beef/poultry/etc. to their dishes. Any added cost would definitely be worth it.

Beer drinker? You'll be in heaven at Trinity. Don't drink beer? That's OK, try the Pear Cider. Their food has greatly improved since they first opened. Lots of veggie-friendly options, or for the meat eaters, a bacon basket! Make sure to check out their calendar online. They have lots of events, art shows, music and such going on each month.

Souper Salad is the super-size version of what I wish I had in my fridge. Even though the offerings stay pretty much the same (except for their seasonal special salads and soup -- or baja fish tacos right now) you can have a different meal each time you go. I love the spring mix topped with beets, zucchini, radishes, cucumbers, green peas, sunflower seeds and balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Those are toppings I never think to have on hand at home but they are always fresh and plentiful at Souper Salad. I add a bowl of soup and have eaten healthy enough that I don't hesitate to finish lunch with a slice of their ginger bread topped with their soft serve (I think it's yogurt) and a little caramel and chocolate syrup drizzle.
I can only speak for the Garden of the Gods location, but the servers are friendly, the restaurant is clean and the pricing is good (you can even get it to go). Adult- and kid-friendly and I love an affordable place with a variety of good, healthy options.

Visit Wines of Colorado (just barely up the pass!) in the spring/summer/early autumn for a true Colorado experience. Choose an outdoor table and enjoy nature's ambience with a big, fat, delicious (and lean!) buffalo burger — their stand out menu option — and red potatoes. A great place to go as a group and you'll almost feel like you're in the comfort of your own back yard (except someone else does all the cooking and cleaning up!)

While the lunch special pricing is hard to beat, I always find myself ordering off the dinner menu so I can get the myriad of Korean side dishes from kim chee to fish cakes and everything in between. The side dishes really make the meal. Layer a bite of beef bulgoki, rice and any one of the spicy, flavorful side dishes, then just mix it up next bite and your mouth is exploding with flavor. They even have an octopus dish with whole teeny, tiny octopus mixed with slices of big octopus. The staff is helpful, too, and will explain what everything is so you know what everything is.
