What a shame that it closed after 111 years in the same location. I practically begged the Gazette to dignify this historic closing but neither the publisher, Dave Phillips, Linda Navarro or Bill Vogrin chose to reply.
Great sandwiches & coffee! ARTISTS' RECEPTION SUNDAY, DEC. 8 from 6:15-8:15 for DIANE & PHIL VALLEJO ARTWORKS
Outstanding, homemade Mexican. The rojo is ridiculously good.
Great shop love the smoothies !
Quaint "old victorian" shop with great people and a great vibe. Used to be Firehouse BBQ, located in a renovated turn of the century fire station on Colorado Blvd. just off of 8th street. Conveniently located just outside of downtown Colorado Springs; 2 blocks or so from I-25 just west of 8th Street.
Feels a lot like a neighborhood hang-out. Great place to watch the game, read a book, have a conversation, or just take some down time.
Jeff and Caryn Andrews are the owners and are usually there meeting people and making them feel like family. I highly recommend this place as a "must visit" for locals and guests.
The Carey On is my favorite country bar! They have a great dance floor, fantastic music, and the staff is friendly and fun. I often go by myself, and I always feel safe and have a great time. I love seeing the owner LeShawn and DJ Johnny Law wandering through the crowd making everyone feel welcome. I love this place!
Bloody Mary's here are an awesome start. Food is incredible.
Just tried this restaurant for the first time. Great food, good prices, and exceptional customer service. We will definitely be repeat customers.
Excellent food, wonderful service! A very nice touch was they gave us a warm towel to wash your hands. Took my Aunt here for a very nice quiet lunch around 1:30pm on a Wednesday. We both found our meals to be superb. The servers were very attentive but not hovering. There were several other tables present when we arrived and several more came in as we finished. They were setting up for dinner, changing over to linen table cloths and napkins. In my opinion it would be a nice romantic dinner place. I would also like to mention when I requested chop sticks I was not given the wooden throw away kind, I was handed a nice, balanced pair of chop sticks. Wonderful experience.
Great Food; great service!! I try so hard to try something new every time but the problem becomes I haven't found anything I don't like
I love this bar! My meet my husband here a year ago. The owner is awesome and make everyone feel welcome. She allowed my husband and I to get married at the bar. We always feel welcome and love the live bands that they have every Friday night.
Ate there again recently because my wife was craving the pork tacos...it was terrific!
Best sushi! Friendly and attentive staff, delicious food in generous portions, high quality sashimi, etc.... This place has spoiled me for other sushi places.
We are all Americans at this point. If someone is Irish they might like the drink as much as an Indian, or a Scot or a Kraut. Take responsibility for yourself and don't blame a bunch of folks having a drink and good meal in a place that has such amazing architecture, of which you should be proud.
Best Thai in the Springs by far! We've tried several other Thai restaurants in town and always end up returning to Thai Mint to get our fix. The panang curry is flavorful and spicy and always consistent. If you become a regular you might end up being taught how to say thank you very much in Thai:)
Taste of India 2 is so delicious and the people are so nice there! The best customer service and the food is always so fresh! I absolutely love Taste of India!
Small, friendly, reasonably priced, and unpretentious, the food at Thai Mint is excellent and flavorful. You pick the heat or order mild and every dish is cooked fresh. Thai Mint is a Thai food lover's dream on the north side of town....
Get to Palmer Lake and try this place out, worth the drive! Best green chili I have had.
Everything I've ever had there is amazing!! One particular entree that blew me away is the salmon!! Every bite was heaven!! The prime rib will also make you a believer! :) I've moved out of state, but when I come back for visits, having another fantastic taste buds experience will HAVE to be at The Black Bear Restaurant!! On top of the superb cuisine, there's Victor Matthews who LOVES to hear about your dinning experiences face to face! If he possibly can, he will come out to your table to listen to your comments:) If you're a tourist, you'll take home exceptional memories of this restaurant!!!
Wonderful atmosphere, quiet and a good place for a meeting or to study. Serving some of the best coffee in Colorado Springs, the staff is almost too friendly :)
