Every Sunday, my friend and I hold a tradition of trying to find a new place in town to eat. It provides opportunity to experience new digs and meet new people in our area. Two Sundays ago, we were craving MEAT and starting walking down town towards Tejon. My eyes glossed over and my mouth started to water when I saw the sign for Bingo Burger, “Theeeeerrreee,” I managed to mumble through the drool. We walked in and stood in line behind other carnivores waiting their turn not knowing what they wanted. So they let us skip in front.
We ordered one vanilla malt and one chocolate shake, order of large fries, and two burgers. Nothing complicated like tofu banana peels with a box of air; just one chicken burger with a fried egg and one BLT burger. They finally got our order right after two failed attempts at giving us other people’s orders. We sat outside in order to avoid the children’s birthday party going on inside. It wasn’t actually a classified children’s birthday party but had all the makings for one; loud children jumping on things they aren’t supposed to while their parents dully sit back and discuss whatever it is inattentive parents discuss. We had a good view of a tree and the homeless who sit at the corner StarBucks. “Don’t mind us eating our 8 dollar meal right in front of you...Of course, I don’t have any change to spare, I spent it on beating the last level of Mortal Combat at Supernova.”
The food was good and worth the wait but not worth the atmosphere. The staff gave me a $2 off coupon for my next visit which I may end up donating to the “Got-Any-Spare-Change” homeless man I see on every corner down town. I’m pretty sure he has a few doppelgangers or a following…
Expensive, small and lacking good service. After reading so many articles about the new Bingo Burger in Colorado Springs, we were very excited to give this place a try. Two burgers, two sodas and one combo small/ cold fry totaled over $30. The meat was good and juicy but that is all the positive I can say. The table next to us even had to return their order. For local burger, the Green Line Grill makes a better basic burger and for overall best burger in the Springs, we will have to stick to BJ's Brewhouse double deluxe. Sad it just didn't work out. With so many employees, I don't know how you can have dirty floors and tables and forget items in an order, not to mention sending out cold fries. Hope this place improves over time.
Mostly hype, loud, slow...nothing really special
Had the grilled chicken breast burger style & that was absolutely gross, burgers should stay burgers. However try it you might like but for me!

5 guys is overpriced and messy
More acclaimed than In-n-Out. . . you've got to be kidding me. I love how they have to post all their testimonies on the wall. Let's be honest, if the place was really that good, you wouldn't need all these HUGE BOARDS on the wall with LARGE WORDS telling you how good their stuff was, you would just know when you bit into their burger. The first time I went my burger was --terribly-- soggy (it was a disgraceful to burgers everywhere). Went again a week ago, there burger was still soggy, but measured up better. Their fries are actually decent, but to compare any of it to In-n-Out is absolutely rubbish. For the money, I'll just go to Sonic; they have better drinks there anyway.
The only reason this joint gets 2 stars instead of 1 is their fries are slightly -- yes, slightly -- redeeming.
The service was great and the atmosphere was great, but the food was meh. I like to go out to eat for things that I cannot make better at home, and they failed on all 3 entrees ordered. Probably won't go back.
I was really looking forward to a great night out after all the great things I had heard. It turned out to be only OK. The service of course was great. Hostess, not so much I made reservations and put special notes in, they were completely ignored. Some of the food was good, some not so good. I read these reviews of people raving about the food in many joints around CS and it is just not so. In places like this I always start with the burgers. If I had to guess, another new place serving $10-$12 FROZEN burgers. Why? Soggy wet bun, uneatable bacon, Beans, most likely Van de Camps from a can. Onion rings OK, but also had a very processed texture and flavor, not fresh. Green beans were plain but ok, Au gratin potatoes ok. The steak was supposed to be a flat iron cut, I'm a bit suspect, however it was cooked correctly and tasted ok. I do a lot of flat iron from the butcher and it was not the same. Just didn't wow me for all the hype. Won't be going back. Just another same old same old.
Awful. That's the only way to describe the only experience I had in the airplane. My wife and daughters took me here for my birthday a while back. I am a pilot and flight instructor so they thought it might be fun for me. The plane is, of course, separated from the main building and the staff has a lengthy walk to and from the main building for almost anything. After placing out order we did not see our server again for over 20 minutes. After watching several other diners get their food when they had ordered after us I asked another server if they could find out what was going on. It turns out that our server had 'had enough' and walked out without telling anyone. I worked in restaurants for 17 years, this happens. The problem is, no one noticed. They found our food which was sitting in the kitchen, pushed to the side for who knows how long and brought it out. Needless to say it was mostly inedible but not one person apologized or offered to replace the food or even the gesture of a complimentary dessert. While I was in the restroom someone dropped of the bill which I paid in cash and we left. Its not a very bright way to run a business.
.. not impressed. I was told that this place is almost as good as "In and Out Burger" .. not even CLOSE!. The burger tasted like a cacophany of everything that'd been cooked on the grill that day (onions, peppers, mushrooms .. all mixed together with that greasy taste from a grill that hadn't been cleaned for awhile). The fries were undercooked and needed to be drained a bit (oil leaking thru the paper bag). I don't get the hype. It's no better than Fatburger or any other mid-range burger joint trying to make a name for itself, and I can't imagine it having many repeat customers unless they're just used to mediocre-quality food or they have low food-appreciation standards.
What ever happend to Fudruckers?? Now that was a burger restaurant.
After walking by several times, I decided
to give Bingo Burger a chance. I live downtown. I chose to "build my own" and asked for a cheeseburger with fried/grilled onions. I was told by Sarah that they had "glazed onions" which are pre made. I'm not familiar with "glazed onions" and I don't think it sounds very appetizing, since it is pre made. I decided to wait until they weren't busy, as a courtesy, and went in to talk to the manager the following day. He also told me that they would not grill my onions. I happen to believe that the customer is always right. I'm from the East Coast and there is no hesitation to accommodate a customer who wants grilled onions on their cheeseburger. If I'm not permitted to have a burger the way I ordered it, I'm not going back. It's a shame too, because it seemed like a nice place. I'll sooner go to Jack Quinn's for the fish and chips. So ridiculously filthy, I couldn't believe it. They did appear to be understaffed, but the people working were in no hurry at all and seemed to be moving in slow motion. I will never go there again and would never ever recommend it. Even the counter where they give you your food looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Disgusting.
Too bad you have to share your food with all the flies...
Some of the worst BBQ I have ever had and I know my BBQ. The brisket tasted like it was broiled in an over, the ribs were fatty and I'm not sure what the sausage was made from. The side dishes consisted of baked bean ( tasted like they came from a can) and potato salad (absolutely no flavor what so ever. The only good things I have to say was the portions were large and the service was good.
They serve absolute garbage in there. I would never ever waste my time or money there again... ever! The only positive thing I can say is they do sit you at a table, in chairs. Although I'm surprised they don't just toss the "Food" on the floor to complete the presentation.
Great food, clean kitchen.
Learn the meaning of brunch. Made reservations thinking I was getting brunch only to realize the management didnt know the definition of bunch. They offer late breakfast but NO brunch. I should have gone to Ihop for this quality. Misleading and adding the wording brunch to a menu is just a lie... shame on you.
Gotta say that our experience was not that good, and I so wanted it to be great and to support small business guys and support our downtown. Alas....
The place is NOISY. There's an old-fashioned embossed metal ceiling and nothing on the walls to deaden the sound. It's as bad or worse than Chipotle. The ordering counter is too wide and with all the noise in there it becomes a shouting match between the girl taking orders and the customers. Good grief, how can one enjoy their visit? We sat there the whole duration having to listen to the ordering process for other customers and we were near the front door.
Our order got screwed up. There's an order numbering system the kitchen follows but my wife got her order, I got nothing, and the kid bringing it looked at me as if I were crazy and he asked me if I had ordered anything. Really? There seemed a lot of confusion on which orders went to which tables.
What's with the "garden" talk. I know, I know. It's restaurant lingo for lettuce and tomato on a sandwich. I didn't want it, but the girl gave us no choice, we had to have the "garden" but did we want it on the burger or on the side. Maybe she didn't hear me over all the noise. We opted for the "garden" on the side and it's a good thing, as the razor thin slice of tomato was so dried out it looked like it had been sitting out all day.
The french fries were awful. Limp and greasy, like the greasy fries at Five Guys, the kind of fries that reek of a 1-step cooking process and grease too cold to cook the inside. I worked fast food 50 years ago and we did 2-step fries from raw potatoes that came out brown, crisp and tasted fine. The fries at Ted's up in Briargate are great fries, you can sit at the bar and watch their 2-step frying process from raw potatoes.
Cost is not cheap. I don't mind paying BB's price for quality meats but the rest of the experience was off-putting. I hope these are just start-up issues that get quickly worked out but we'll have to wait and see.
Great breakfast as well as one of the best burgers in town. The green chili is superb. A great local diner on the West side of town. Have been there numerous times, never been disappointed. Eager to try their BBQ.
It has been a real ptomaine tavern for a couple of years now.
