I love this place! The staff is very friendly, the food is great and the tea is *amazing*! It's certainly a bit off the beaten path, but it's worth it. It's certainly not a conventional tea house and it's still early in it's development - having opened doors in April, but the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. It's also great to have a new music venue in the Springs on Tuesday nights. Definitely worth checking out!
Efficient service; excellent pho. GREAT Bun.
It has been a real ptomaine tavern for a couple of years now.
What happen to this place. The floors were covered with dirt, straws and looked like it has not been cleaned in months. Let alone, the pickles they served us, looked like they were frozen and tasted horrible. No one could eat them. The hamburger was running with grease and dripping out of the bun. Something tasted sour on the hamburger too. Not sure if it was the pickle, or catsup. Couldn't eat that side of the bun. Furthermore, the service was horrible. Not friendly at all. It was like, she didn't want to go out of her way for anything. Being a native of Colorado and have visited this place since it first started on Colorado Ave. I find this place very disheartening anymore. I will never go to this place again. Let alone, bring in out of town guests to this place. Local meat or not, the dirtiness, bad service and most of all, the way the food was prepared was shameful. This place needs a make over with everything. We visited this place on Saturday the 25th of May, 2013. The quality is just not there anymore. Sad really. I had not been there in almost a year and it has gotten a lot worse since then. The place seems like an old run down hamburger shop. Sorry but it does. If anyone would ever really look around that place. You will see it too. Sorry, I will never suggest this place to any of my out of town family and friends again. Not worth the embarrassment.
Ever since ownership changed, this place has been awful. The food and drinks are over priced and not to mention my wife got sick from the dessert. If you're really looking for a good sports bar to go to before the Sox game, go to Holy Cow, they're food is hotter, beer is colder and staff is prettier!
Great food from the kitchen, but the out front organization is a total failure.
They told me one time they had no seating available when there was only one table occupied...when I pointed that out they said that one of the wait staff didn't show up and they could not service the remaining tables.
This place, especially without a beer license (who eats curry without beer) will be vacating this space like every other eatery that has been here.
Smily's, at the same time, continues to flourish.
I purchased a groupon for this restaurant and went in the middle of the week at about 7 pm with my child and husband. It took almost 18 minutes to seat us even though we were the only ones standing there, 27 minutes to get us a menu, we had to waive somone down to take our drink orders, wave someone down again to take our food orders after waiting so long.... I was timing all of this as it really got ridiculous. The food was cold when we got it, was okay but curry out of a can at home would have been better, and the bell pepper in the curry still had the store sticker on it, cooked in with the curry. We left at 9 pm when they closed, which the meal should have taken 45 minutes at most. I would have left, had I not bought the groupon already. I have never not given a tip before, this was the first time I didn't give a tip :(
My experience was exquisite and I hope to repeat it. I was there Nov. 20 and whomever was "in the kitchen" rocked! Scallops! omg...The ambience is rich and the bill proves it. <3 the place for a nice date
If sushi is your thing and you want to wear yo bling, this is the place to see and be seen for the best of oriental dining! The sushi bar is extravagant, delicious, hospitable and friendly. Desert for me, last visit, was soft shell crab in some crazy magic sweet sauce! YUM Be there or be totally sushi dish square.
Love to visit the Sahara every single time I find myself in Manitou. The family is warm and welcoming and service is sweet and timely. The SAGE TEA is the best beverage I have ever imbibed and I highly recommend it on ice! YUM, want some now. The ice cream is also yummy and anything on the menu is FIRST CLASS!
One of my Favorite places!! They will treat you right and the food is always yummy! I miss them being on the westside, but will still make the short drive to support them. Love the noodle bowls! JoJo always knows what we want when we walk in, great service!
Went to Nosh the other day...and it is really hard now to get a glass of water...what is that about?
The Saigon Grill is a wonderful small family Vietnamese restaurant on Circle, close to Platte. Every dish that we have tried (on multiple visits) has been excellent.
Appetizers and main course dishes are all freshly prepared with excellent service and very reasonable prices.
The Saigon Grill at 337 N. Circle Drive is a treasure among the many Asian restaurants in town!
Gringo...I guess it is personal...I am a better beer drinker than anything else I do...but I always feel dissed and abused and robbed at Trinity. Never felt so taken at any place i have bought a beer in Colorado Springs...so I do take it all as you perceive.
Also...every single brew pub in the Springs makes generally better beer...so why be abused and have your evening spoiled when you can drink better beer and your patronage be appreciated somewhere else.
I have not been there in some time but when I was I really appreciated all the Belgian ales on tap. That is very hard to find. If you appreciate Belgian ales you can do worse.
Tejon- I usually like your reviews but it seems like it's personal with you. You have too many entries on here and it's watering down your comments. Just my thoughts.
Jason is kind of a hippy dude, I met him when he was the brewmaster at Bristol's. He certainly has talent.
Just mentioned this to a friend who immediately regaled me with tales of rude treatment and whacko bad beer...the verdict is in.
Just to make sure my review above registers...I am posting again.
Lots of people who were excited about this place when it opened no longer even consider going...I never hear someone say, Hey I was at Trinity last night. It is an closed crowd of which, unless you are a head case, you would problem not want o be a part.
It is as dirty and greasy a place as I have ever seen...and the food has been sitting out for hours before it is served, tough, cold, congealed...nasty
I won't go back until the place is cleaned. It is filthy with a layer of dust that's been accumulating for years. I wish the Health Dept would check it out.
Re: “Royale Tea House”
Awesome new place! The teas are wonderful, the staff is open and friendly and the food is great!! Worth getting off the main drag for!! Live music on Tuesdays and I hear they will have open mic nights as well starting this month!!
