Pam, I know, but I haven't a link showing our low level of city tax income vis a vis other cities in COLO that do have tax incomes commensurate with requirements to provide basic services and road upkeep. To wit: What's wrong HERE is TABOR and the party of NO.

TABOR is the Godzilla destroying both city and county here, and is why the mayor's happy talk of 6000 new jobs per year proves he's a space cadet. No business of any note will come to this increasingly stagnant, crumbling backwater.
The link provided by OldCrank is a comparison of county spending, not city. The Springs Fire Department doesn't rely on El Paso County tax money for its support.
