This is all great, but where is it??
If you like hip-hop, you might like my blog, Rhymes and Reasons. It’s a series of interviews with hip-hop heads who discuss their lives and a few songs that matter to them. Pretty powerful stuff. Check’em out here:

Music is very important right now in life. Even right now I'm letting my children undertake a guitar course online. As the world is solwly becoming more modern. They undertake a guitar course online at http://ourmusicreviews.com
Umm Tom Petty is one band and The Replacements are another, just saying
In 1968 my brother came home from his stint in the Navy. I was about twelve years old. He brought with him, among a host of other music, Tom Rush. My whole family has been in love with his music ever since. I try to catch every performance I find him at within 100 miles of us here in Colorado Springs. Can't wait for tomorrow night in Black Forest. Doesn't get any cozier than that place.

Who is this douchebag writer Parker? Dando made his peace with his career arc long ago and admittedly had a lot of fun while entertaining a bit of a "perverse streak" all those years ago. Now he has a loving cult audience and writes and performs the songs he wants to while his back catalogue keeps growing nicely. Sounds like the writer read all of the shallowest writing on the Lemonheads and then wrote the same recycled crap piece on Dando we've seen a million times without offering even the slightest glimpse into what makes the man one of the most underrated and least understood songwriters of the last generation. "It's A Shame About Dando." Really? It's a shame about two-bit writers like Chris Parker that don't do their homework.
Thanks to Chris Parker and the CS Independent for getting the word out about The Blue Ribbon Healers!
This band is so worth seeing and experiencing....like nothing else!!! Unique, clever, fun and you can dance to their music too!!!! So to the core moving!!!
Northern California loves the Hooten Hallers ! Andy and John are always welcome at their Modesto Dog Pound. Great Article !!!

Hey check out (and like) an awesome video interview with the Grammy Award Winning Producer Steve Lillywhite who has worked with artist such as U2, the rolling stones, etc at: http://culturecatch.com/vidcast/steve-lill…
While I'm sure Mr. Glier's music is therapeutic for the people he visits in the hospital, I must take issue with the title of this article as Music Therapy. A music therapist is a highly trained and credentialed specialist. Music therapists do not "own" music, but we do reserve the title of music therapy for work that is done by a board-certified professional.

While Spotify has been useful in listening to new artists/music before making a decision to buy, I don't like (a) the necessity of having a wifi hookup to listen and (b) not actually "owning" a copy of the song. What can I say, I'm old school. The ads don't bother me so much--I grew up on AM radio!--but my concern is for the artists getting their due (which is why file-sharing is something I don't do).
Thanks for the inclusion of CD Baby in your article! We are very excited that independent artist are included in the US release of Spotify. It's going to be interesting to see what impact the arrival of Spotify has on the music industry in the US.

I have seen Godsmack so many times and can't get enough. People who talk smack about Godsmack cannot appreciate Real musical talent. Sully is the ultimate musician who can play every instrument and write and compose great music as he showed with Avalon. Will be seeing them tomorrow at Mayhem Fest....cannot wait!!!!
I have been to every godsmack concert in Colorado since 1998 and have never been let down. They are one of the best bands to see live and would'nt miss one their shows for anything. Long Live the Smack!
I've seen a lot of shows. Godsmack truly is one of the best that I have ever seen. From opening for Metallica to an unplugged show in Jackson Hole, WY, they put on one AMAZING show. I would see Godsmack a hundred times before I saw Megadeth again. Don't get me wrong, Megadeth is a great band and puts on a great show. But for overall showmanship? Godsmack wins every time!
"I don't see enough people moving outside of those organizations to create their own thing."
True enough brother... I've been playing here for a couple of decades and it is VERY hard to find jazz gigs that actually-P-A-Y more than 50-75 bucks a night here in C/S. I catch much more work in Denver and even Pueblo. That means working 100 nights a year and NOT pulling in 8K- hardly a wage to live on for a single person, let alone a family. I've found it exceedingly difficult to create your own thing when few C/S venues will take a chance on jazz. Perhaps worst of all, we now have some guys playing for FREE...FREE!...on Wednesdays around town. Hard to say its a "profession" if everybody thinks they can be a player and clubs keep hiring the wannabees...
Re: “MeadowGrass it up”
How about directions to La Foret and cost? Thanks
