Re: “Hip-hop summits and back porch angst

You forgot to mention the fact that the Wandering Monks have a LIVE BAND backing them up. They not only are hitting that stage with an abundance of truth and flow, but they also bring a Guitarist (he's sick!), a bassist (mystery mask wearing phenom), a drummer (you can just call him McNasty), and a keyboardist (who's not only silky sexy on keys but rocks a trumpet and whatever other instruments he can get his hands on).

Though you could sit and really get an education from the content behind the lyrics, you can also get up and shake ya tail feather to the solid groove this group lays down. You'll want to catch this show so you can say "I saw them when they were just coming up in Colorado"... See them now while they're still doing the local shows!

Re: “Last Supper celebrates the resurrection

So, no Christians are fussing about this play on sacred doctrines. I wonder what would happen if there was a band called Rag Heads that had a hit entitled Allah Akbar?

Re: “Next of skin: Total Annihilation returns from the dead

Apul, do your research before you make a statement like that. If you don't know anything about the skinhead subculture then don't talk about it, you are clearly showing you ignorance on the subject.

Re: “Next of skin: Total Annihilation returns from the dead

asians can't be skinheads. what kind of confused person is the singer thinking he's a skinhead? at most he can be a bald headed punk rocker. non whites can't be skinheads.

Re: “On Kanye collaborations, Cheap Dates, and fine cigar boxes

Cigar box is big enough to have it's on festival in Chicago (well at least one year worth of one), which Springs favorite, Kevin Incroyable (The Peculiar Pretzlemen) attended last year http://www.cigarboxnation.com/profiles/blo…

Great stuff, Bill. Also I want to remind everyone that on Friday (7/27) The Tickle Mafia (from Denver) will be performing with Charlie Milo Trio at the Zodiac (230 e pueblo on the corner of Wahsatch and Cimmeron). Doors at 8pm, show starts at 9pm with an acoustic set on the back patio from CM3. Also, the night will feature poetry from Angelique White between sets, and some special friends of ours sitting in during the electric set: DJ Gravity, Big Ro, Aeryk Parker, Benito Vena, Kevin from Fidel Redstar, Kris Harlow and Tony Colvin! We will also have gourmet cupcakes from Angela Buchannan available at the merch table. Yum! See you all there!
