Why doesn't Dr. Dobson or Lamborn's church or other Lamborn supporters give the 100K? I remember two years ago Lamborn's camp blasting the Blaha children for donating some of their own money to support their father's campaign. I don't know what's happening here but something doesn't smell right when a candidate loans himself his own money to mudsling his opponent's impressive military career with accusations that Lamborn's own legal firm is guilty of. Will Lamborn also claim the 100k as a tax free donation as well? I pray we'll see Lamborn's going back home parade this time around....sigh.
TejonTech, you write, "Leadership is risky, and always involves pissing off the lazy, the jealous, the unimaginative..." That accounts for why you are so pissed off at the leader of our nation, President Obama.
I'm ready to start the recall petition? Who's with me?
The funniest thing to come out of the 2013 recalls was this idea that a recall is an easy process. It's not. It takes a ton of work, or, as was the case with the Morse recall, takes a lot of outsider money to get a recall on the ballot.
Would a recall mean Sheriff Maketa would lose his pension and El Paso County Colorado would not have to pay for this retirement? Recall paperwork and initiative are usually done by political party and it seems like this town is wanting to wait so the finger can be pointed at Democrats.
If contributions are not from individual donors, does that mean they are from corporations? Is the balance in each of these cases from companies or agenda groups, and if so, which ones?
I sure hope we can dump Lamborn...even with a democratic replacement. We need thinkers, problem solvers, leaders...not just automatic far right votes.
Anybody but Lamborn is my motto!
It was such a great opportunity to visit this site, you can gain new interesting topics.I want to stick on this one so that I can update more details about this one.
The mayor promised an independent assessment of stormwater needs - yet that assessment has not yet been made public. How is it we already have a $dollar amount?
so the stormwater authority wants to ask for a vote from the teabaggers around here to spend twice what they got their panties in a twist about for the last stormwater fee. Good luck with that.
mayor botch thinks he can stall the vote on c4c until he can say we have already invested too much. once again he is underestimating the teabagger mentality around here... he will need luck with that one too.
teabaggers around here are too short sighted to see why any taxes are needed for anything.
Over 1 million dollars for PERA. How much paid to law firm since Bach's administration began? Personnel issues, urban renewal authority, etc. At least there are some impressive attorneys in that firm.
The two days of the week that the Allegiant flights operate are Sunday and Thursday.
Checked out a quick roundtrip price and found that it costs $270-290 for a roundtrip to Phoenix, not including baggage fees of $50 each way per passenger, per bag.
What a deal! Not.
John Anderson will make an excellent El Paso County Sheriff!
The article said that Apuan REPRESENTED HD 17. Past tense was properly used!

Thanks for pointing that out, Jim Bensberg - that info about Dennis Appuan is a bit outdated.
"Dennis Apuan, who also represents Colorado Springs' 17th district in the Colorado House of Representatives." Really? Someone ought to tell that to Tony Exum!

The city has a $534M backlog of flood control projects. Flood control projects must be done because protecting life and property from floods is an essential duty of govt. This is why we pay taxes. Then there is wildfire mitigation - the cost of which is many millions of dollars more.
The mayor thinks the city can afford to pay $543M for flood control work without a tax increase. The mayor also thinks the city can afford to pay $350M to build C4C. Flood and wildfire control are vital needs. A stadium/museum complex is a frivolity. COS may not have the financial resources to pay for essential needs. But COS definitely does not have the financial resources to build frivolities. Why is C4C a priority for the mayor? Why build a stadium to enrich the property owners, developers, and politicians?

Not if you are spending Christmas with family or friends who do have a tree up.
So, anyone who takes down his tree on or before January 5th is not a Christian, but a pagan? Is it a sin in Christianity not to have a tree at all?
