Re: “Can Colorado Springs get a cannabis-friendly City Council?

The 'make-up' or composition of the incoming city council will impact not only positions on the marijuana issue, but a number of issues to come up on their watch - which candidates to you feel will win each district seat? How important do you feel 'endorsements' are from political, civic, business, and trade groups to a candidate? Please consider two minutes to weigh in and give your thoughts and comments. Thank you.…

Re: “CSPD hands a records headache to District Attorney's Office

At the age of 54 I started experiencing lack of muscle control when performing strenuous exercise. It was very periodic, as I got older, the episodes became more frequent, and I started experiencing voice box spasms, excessive sweating, and trouble swallowing. I also started to have episodes when I wasn't so active. My family doctor wasn't able to diagnose my problem, but I was sent to a neurologist and they diagnosed it as Parkinson's. All medications given were not working i had to look for an alternative treatment. I read in a health forum of a herbal clinic in Johannesburg who has a successful treatment to P.D, i immediately contacted the herbal clinic via their website ( and purchased the parkinson's herbal formula. I received the parkinson's herbal treatment via courier and immediately commenced usage, i only used the herbal remedy for 7 weeks all my symptoms were unbelievably reversed, i did another series of test i was confirmed free of parkinson's. Re: “Media oppose mediation proposal for public records

Current law says govt records are to be made available to the public. Why is mediation necessary to obtain these records? This appears to me to be another effort by govt to make it difficult for the public to know how it's spending OUR tax dollars.

Does Suthers impending debt of $27M for C4C include the Jenkins condo garage at the west end of the pedestrian bridge, which is, by the way, a long walk from the proposed Olympic museum?

Funny, your articles are inflammatory and lopsided. Why do Libs get so angry over dissenting opinions? Pot calling the kettle black!!

Re: “Rally planned against Trump's new deportation order

Are you an immigrant to the United States and have become a citizen of the United States? Yes. Great! You have nothing to worry about. We are glad to have you here.

OK, are you a legal resident AKA "green card" holder or on a current visa? Yes. Great! Unless you commit a crime (usually a felony) violating the long standing requirements of the green card or visa, you have nothing to worry about. We are glad to have you here.

Have you committed a misdemeanor or felony crime? No. OK, well you are probably here illegally and should really go home, but you are not the priority for being caught and deported.

Yes. Expect to get jailed and probably deported.

(caveat: the poster's mother is a legal immigrant to the US)

This is the law, not really Trump's policy.

Re: “Media oppose mediation proposal for public records

This is a problem. In fact, related to the impending debt of $27 million for City for Champions that Mayor Suthers will sign onto, I requested communications between the City and a private entity who will benefit from the public debt. The City's lawyers denied the request based on a Colorado statute that they failed to follow in their denial. How do you mediate when the government doesn't follow the law? Do you get a mediator telling the requestor to be happy with only partial adherence to the law? Unfortunately, a lawsuit is the only recourse. Mediation about the extent to which the City or any public entity must comply with the law will result in loss of transparency and give governments another rock to hide under.

Re: “CSPD cop's letter says department is a mess

Here's an idea: How about we legalize recreational pot sales in the city and use the increased tax revenues to pay our cops better and hire more cops?

What areas of town were the robberies more prevalent?

Re: “Rally planned against Trump's new deportation order

And of course if you take the opposite view you can skip the protest and simply make a donation to the Republican party.

Re: “Prosecutor stuck with lifetime debt for collecting pension

Would be interesting if Mr. Zook found out if the employees at the Sheriff's Office that returned from retirement to work for Sheriff Elder had to pay back the retirement benefits they received.

Re: “Colorado Springs has had 67 robberies so far this year

Not so much, perhaps. A spike is not necessarily a trend. Using the numbers from the chart, and taking a global view of each year, we come with the period ending Feb 15 being 46 days, or 12.6% of the year. Using the total from 2016 of 439 cases we would then expect 55 reports to the selected cutoff.

Re: “The resurgence of the radical left raises questions

LMAO- Milo Yiannopoulos Disinvited From Conservative Confab, Loses Book Deal
Gay alt-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos has been disinvited from the Conservative Political Action Conference after videos surfaced of him defending sex between men and boys and making light of the sexual assault of women.
The videos have also cost him a book contract with Simon & Schuster and are threatening his position with conservative website Breitbart. KARMA IS A BITCH!!!…

Re: “Venetucci family member issues plea for farm

It was my understanding that the plan was to shutter the farming operation out of abundance of caution until a determination could be made on the contamination effects on the produce from the contaminated well water that was used to irrigate the fields. If the contamination could be passed into the crops and cause health issues with the public... the liability of knowingly and willingly selling the product would put the future of the facility at financial risk. It was a smart if not the smart thing to do for future of the facility.

Re: “Venetucci family member issues plea for farm

Fort Carson and the Catholic Diocese needs to step up and help out. I met the Venetucci's years ago. When I was in elementary I went there for the pumpkins too.. My son for a couple years went to the farm as well. I am sad to read about what is going on there. I have since moved away from CO after 32 years. I moved away last year and am saddened and shocked as to what is happening. I think both Carson and the Church should help out. My father served at that post and I was a member of the Church. Anybody and everybody should help out.
