If you don't want an assault rifle, don't buy one. I don't want tofu, but it doesn't mean you can't by it.
The best thing assault rifles is keeping the IRS and TSA at bay when Obama sends them after us.
When are the NRA nuts going to get a clue- WE DON'T WANT ASSAULT RIFLES OR AMMO ROUNDS SOLD IN THIS COUNTRY- your article was great, and to the point.
Definitely heard you around Garden of the Gods in the middle of the night... Couldn't sleep thanks to that... Might want to think about other people occasionally... Scared my dog to death
Manitou is worth it so shut up
Manitou is worth it so shut up!
Someone said the other day at lunch in Manitou that the city officials should lead by example. They should take the shuttle or pay for parking instead of having free parking in the back of city hall or on the side.
If you want to tell them or ask question just go to their facebook Manitou Springs Information and they have all the information.
The problem is that the IRS was fine with letting the big government liberals using 501 C$ status to promote a big government agenda that meant more money and less work for the IRS. But when conservatives woke up and tried to do the same, they all of a sudden called into the question that which had been allowed previously.
If these groups are going to be exempt then they need a category for groups that fit their description.
Hey Wolf, to what do you believe Hillary will be elected in 2014?
I suggest that any visitor or business owner not wanting metered parking read work done by Donald Shoup. Parking is a scarce commodity and we generally under-price it. That leads to people staying in one spot for a long time and keeping others (customers) from using it.
In Parking Demand Management, the ideal is one or two spots open on every block. Those that want to park right in front of high-value areas pay more than those that are willing to park a few blocks away and walk.
One other thing...in many places, business owners over-estimate the number of customers that arriving by personal motor vehicle and thus over-emphasize free or low cost parking. I imagine that may be the case in Manitou as well.
Hillary will be elected in 2014 and finally we will have a great twofer- She and Bill will bring some real changes , and long overdue- gun laws, health care.
It's about time a really smart and very funny piece was written on Weiner- and the many weiners that are out there- the Tea party members, gun lobbyists, etc.
how could you write about our mayor and wieners and not throw in a mayor teabagger reference... I guess you have better control than I.
what's that daily paper you mentioned ?
You all reali8ze the only groups denied in Cenncinnati were all progressive groups. All three of them? The horror of actually having to back up your social welfare bonfides must be really rought for some.
Yes Siggie, my post was in jest. IRS profiling and discrimination of any kind should never be tolerated.
But while we're at it..."I believe it is the systematic denial of "tax-free" status."
Actually "systematic denial" is somewhat of a misnomer. Of the 97 "conservative" groups whose applications for tax exempt status were delayed by the IRS, zero were actually denied. Of the 3 "liberal" groups whose applications for tax exempt status were delayed during the same time period, all three were denied.
Hillary is conservative?
Good line Bill, but we both know that is not the reason they were singled out. And, I don't believe an "investigation" is the subject. I believe it is the systematic denial of "tax-free" status, if any organization was conservative or spoke out against Obama. I know you posted in jest. Otherwise I would have to ask, are you in favor of discrimination, of any kind?
I can't imagine why any group whose acronym stands for "Taxed Enough Already" would be investigated by the IRS.
Ranger Dick: I know, as the fair-minded (cough) person that you are, you will join me in condemning the IRS for the criminal practice of discriminating against one group in favor of another.
You do realize there will be a conservative senate and president again (very likely in 2014 and 2016 respectively). Isn't it likely that liberals would like to be treated fairly when the shoe is on the other foot?
