Re: “Time has come for Trump's revolution, and reflections on a Trump presidency

America has been conned by the PT Barnum of our time. Promising both sides they will get what they want is the mantra of a true huxter and many in this country fell for it hook line and sinker. Now as he pushes an agenda that endangers everything this country stands for as he sweetens the flow of cash back to the 1% he is a member of. How can anyone even think this man is honest on any level when he has spent his whole life cheating and disenfranchising thousands of people to amass his ill gotten fortune. Now to keep prying eyes from reporting the depth of his corruption he holds the press and media at arms length while pumping lies out at a rate that is staggering to anyone who still has a sense of what is ethical and good. Yeah I got the message that you don't like Hillary but to put this mentally ill bag of wind in charge of the nuclear codes is nothing short of suicide.

Re: “Rep. Lamborn won't hold town halls

To be on Lamborn's list of approved voters one must be GOP, have contributed to his campaign of terror and must not be angry about any of the mindless legislation he either fostered or rubberstamped. He knows in his heart of hearts that the GOP majority of the CS area will undoubtedly continue to vote against their own self interest to keep his corrupt keaster in office until the cows come home. Re: “Rally planned against Trump's new deportation order

When people invade a barren land, they are called pioneers, not immigrants. The Native Americans who inhabited this land before it was "discovered" by Europeans, were pioneers.

The Europeans who invaded and settled here were not immigrants either. They were colonists and conquerors. In fact, they could be characterized as "illegal aliens," as they never bothered to participate in any native rituals that would have made them official members of one of the many Native American tribes. True to the modern stereotype, the illegals formed gangs, introduced alcohol (that is, mind-altering drugs) into the community, and terrorized the indigenous citizenry with impunity.

Such a good point..Disrespecting the environment isn't exclusive to the homeless population.

Cities and counties shouldn't be taking on DEBT to build parks.

Re: “Rally planned against Trump's new deportation order

Spot on correct, Odin!

Using Bill Burns' asinine theory even the Aztec, Sioux, etc are immigrants since humans all came to the Americas from somewhere else. In fact, humans would be immigrants everywhere except the savannas of Africa.

To try to claim that a person is an immigrant because their forebears came here from another county is patently absurd and demonstrates an inability to think beyond soundbites and Facebook memes.

Re: “Castle Rock's example of building great parks with diverse funding

I am sad to observe that there doesn't seem to be a town or city in Colorado which doesn't far exceed Colorado Springs in this regard. And that despite the fact that in terms of natural gifts of nature, Colorado Springs is the most blessed. It's all about the leadership. And luckily for us, that is subject to replacement and change. Vote.

Re: “Reader: Spare us from a Robert Dear execution trial

Donald Spitz:

False equivalence. Diversion. A fetus is not "people."

Dear's actions are criminal. Abortion is legal. If you can't see the difference, you're not looking hard enough.

Your argument is why guys like Dear do what they do. They believe murder is justified to "save the babies." I repeat. Abortion is legal. Murder is not.

Any woman that has had 3 abortions, has done the same thing that Robert dear did. Killed three innocent people.

Re: “Utilities workers pick Colorado Springs City Council candidates

Who do you think will win each city district council seat? Which of the three ballot measures will pass or fail? How important do you think endorsements are in this race?

Re: “10-year-old is seizure-free after one year of cannabis oil

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder marked by sudden recurrent episodes of sensory disturbance, loss of consciousness, or convulsions, associated with abnormal electrical activity in the brain. My son suffered from this disease for two years. He was constantly having Uncontrollable jerking movements of the arms and legs, Temporary confusion, Loss of consciousness and awareness. He was taking Acetazolamide Diamox 250 mgs bd, 1000mgs daily in divided doses. Carbamazepine (CBZ) Tegretol Regular 100200 mgs 12 times daily. Clobazam (CBZ) Frisium 510 mgs daily. Diazepam Valium (DZP) 510mgs daily. Ethosuximide Zarontin (ETH) 250 mgs every 1/52, 2000 mgs daily. But despite taking all this medications, his condition was not still getting better. I and my wife became very worried as my sons condition was becoming inimical by the day. So this prompted me to start a research online where I stumbled into an article in it I saw so many people talking about herbal doctor Uwadia Amenifo, how they have all positively benefited from his herbal cure. I took solace in their applaud to him and in their write up came the contact details of the herbal doctor. I copied out his contact details, and immediately I put a call across to him, and after explaining my sons condition to him he gave me hope by saying he have cured so many people of epilepsy and that curing my son for him is as easy as him slashing his fingers. So I was very encouraged and I gave him a YES to go ahead. After all set have be done he prepared the herbs, and shipped it to me. We succinctly followed his instructions on the usage of his herbal product, and behold just as we never anticipate, his herbs worked perfectly well, and cured my son of his epilepsy. This gave me joy and I see reasons to share on this page with all those who, and or have people who is still suffering from epilepsy to in my abrupt recommendation contact Dr Uwadia Amenifo for their immediate cure. Below is a book of his contact details.
Name: Doctor Uwadia Amenifo
Email: doctoruwadiaamenifo@gmail.com

Re: “Utilities workers pick Colorado Springs City Council candidates

Helen Collins is the polar opposite of Jill Gaebler and Richard Skorman. I'm ready for her to step down and hopefully that will open an opportunity for someone to take that seat who actually votes for the good of the people, not just vote no to vote no. Plus she's got good ol' Doug Bruce in her ear. Good riddance!

Re: “Reader: Spare us from a Robert Dear execution trial

Yes, of course and certainly a fair trial. But a costly death penalty trial should not be pursued; rather life in prison without possibility of parole, as the letter-writer recommends.

Glad to see the Utilities workers endorse Gaebler and Skorman. I would add Helen Collins to the list, as well.

Re: “Trash and trash-talking derail community conversation about homelessness

Looking at this from a sociological standpoint, it almost seems reflective of society as a whole. A quick trip to any of Colorado's outdoor wonders will show you the same thing. Some visitors are meticulous with clean up leaving barely a footprint, others are content to unload any and all of their worldly detritus around seemingly to remind everyone they were there. On one outing this summer to guffy gorge [paradise cove] I found bottles [not unexpected] two spent diapers, at least 10 dog poop bags [still confused why you would take the time to bag it but then leave it] a car battery, a host of lotto tickets and a condom wrapper. I seriously doubt those were left by a group of roving homeless looking to cliff dive. Maybe society just needs a refresher course on how to treat the outdoors.

As for not having the resources to provide sanitation services on trails or supply more housing, I totally understand. Its not like Colorado has some cash crop we could sell recreationally in this city that would generate supplemental tax dollars... [yes I made the obligatory - "why the heck doesnt Colorado Springs follow the will of the voters and allow retail marijuana sales?!? "] I understand there are no easy answers but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

Apologies in advance for any grammar or spelling errors, I am typing this on my phone and haven't had my coffee yet.
