Ion Cscityhall is either Bach, Cox, or one of their stooges.
@ Ion Cscityhall, Sounds like you should move to antarctica.
If we're talking about the City for Champions stadium, the current plan includes over $200 million in local public funding. The money would be collected from more than 9,400 cash registers located throughout 90% of the city. Some people inaccurately believe the State would pay for the stadium. The State's portion, at most, would cover less than 9% of the cost, and that money is not guaranteed.

Here we go again. Yes, by all means—let's hold a citywide election on EVERY LINE-ITEM, EVERY EXPENDITURE in the city budget. That way, our already underworked City Council won't have to show up at meetings at all. And both Anita and her hubby can go on a long vacation. Far away from the rest of us.
I think the 'battle' may not be over - or, at least, the 'war' is not over even if this 'battle' is a victory. I recall hearing the same kind of victory claims after Roe v. Wade. Yet abortion is still in the news and being fought 41 years later.
Maybe depending on the courts for a definitive decision was not the best approach. "Blacks" became 'people' through a Constitutional amendment. Women and blacks got the 'right' to vote through Constitutional amendment. If we are going to insist that the government needs to define marriage and provide benefits for marriage, maybe the only way to really settle the issue is through an amendment.... (Personally, I think getting government completely out of marriage is the better solution - treat ALL people equally, including single people. No government benefits for marriage at all for anyone would mean the government no longer has a compelling interest in how people express their love. Just seems much, much more logical to me.)
Awesome!...so how much would it cost from the Springs to the 16th St. Mall?
Joe-Our airport doesn't have enough flights nor is the bus using population in Colorado Springs the market for flights to begin with.
This is a great story though to see a bus service up again. I go to Denver a lot and this is perfect. I can afford to drive, but it's the time to drive that could be spent working that is the big loss for me. Plus some days it can get to be a touch expensive. $12 is a bargain rate to get to Denver. this is awesome.
Oh nice, a way to take a bus to the airport! Too bad you can't do that here.
Seems reasonable to me to have a park fee with tollbooths at the entrances. Visitors should get a handout with regulations and safety tips. Locals should get some sort of annual membership.
Daily... as in during the weekend too? That would be useful
The City needs to over see it because as we know, People can't respect things that belong to others!
