Re: “Halter scolds Lamborn on vet issue

Attention all active duty and veterans: Lamborn is NOT YOUR FRIEND! Remember this at election time.

Repeat after me, "Doug Lamborn is NOT my Friend." Again. "Doug Lamborn is NOT my Friend."

Re: “Halter scolds Lamborn on vet issue

Lamborn is NOT interested in active duty members and their families or veterans. If he cared he would not have voted to cut WIC or the SNAP programs which some of our active duty and veterans need. Why is he on the Veterans Affairs Committee? He doesn't know or understand the meaning of "taking care of our own" since he's never served our country.

Lamborn is only interested in his donors (i.e. Koch Bros.)who are NOT interested in the welfare of our active duty and veterans only their own selfish agendas.

Re: “Is the C4C resolution a contract?

Ok, Mr. Burns, please discribe the jobs you're referring to. What revenues and where will they go? What do you consider Economic Development? Please answer carefully as you may get a rebuttal.

Mr. Murray is a thorough and meticulus thinker who does not take his task lightly in trying to protect the citizenry from mis-guided fantasies of others. This should be the last community to support corporate welfare. If this is a "power trip or personal vendetta" so be it! The citizens should welcome him.

Mr. K: It is private interests using the government to attain their goals with taxpayer money and NO or very little citizen involvement.

Some public interest group ought to get up a list of the Veterans Affairs Committee hearings that Lamborn missed and check them against other committee meetings that he did attend, just to see exactly what he thought was more important than the vets.

Re: “Is the C4C resolution a contract?

Mr. Burns, it warms the cockles of my heart to see the blind, childish faith you have in the ability of the government to create economic prosperity by taxing and spending. Or, perhaps, you are only interested in prosperity for real estate developers, even if it breaks the backs of the citizens you pretend to speak for.

George Bernard Shaw once said the punishment for a liar is not that no one will ever believe him. It is that he cannot believe anyone else. Likewise, an untrustworthy person cannot bring himself to trust anyone else. So, when you accuse Mr. Murray of indulging in a "power trip or personal vendetta," I have to suspect that that is actually your usual modus operandi, Mr. Burns.
