Re: “Indie-nogo? Studying a vegan's tall tales

Wow. I live in the neighborhood of Little Market and the owner, Chris, is a nice woman. Too bad this has happened to her. We had such high hopes that the store would sell.
She doesn't deserve this type of run around.

What happened to the donations?

josh tolini, the scumbag attorney that defended a fellow dirtbag who raped and murdered an 87 year old woman. You know pam is scraping the bottom of the barrel when tolini is the credible source of the article.

Re: “Officer got high rating after takedown of teen

I would like to see pam investigate how many resources this girl wasted with her defiant behavior. Police for the disturbance, medical to check her out and maybe an ambulance ride to the hospital. Then police and DA because she chose to once again misbehave. She is just a drain on society, quit making her out to be a victim!

Re: “Taxes and potholes, gay marriage, guns in public places, and more

Dean Miller; You make a good point about the PPRTA revision approach. It would be interesting to see how the County Commissioners would respond as they have intertwined it with Pikes Peak Area Governance for distribution. Also they other part of PPRTA tax goes to fund mass transportation.

Re: “Case closed

I also find it curious that, in her "research" Ms. Zubeck either failed to speak to - or chooses not to disclose it- the distraught neighbor who had called the police in the first place. She feared for herself and her children as poor Guy was discharging his firearm in the direction of her home! And, it wasn't the first time poor Guy had done this!!! Pam, you have an obvious agenda and Kathryn, your son was a dangerous, disturbed man who should have received treatment for his demons- and you, as his obviously aware Mother, should have seen to it that he got the help he needed. Officer Jorstad acted within the protocols of his profession and the Grand Jury agreed.

Re: “Officer got high rating after takedown of teen

The girl was violent and attempting to injure him. She threw a fit when her boyfriend was arrested on an outstanding warrant. She's lucky she didn't get worse based on her own out-of-control behavior. I'm with the police officer and hope he gets a fair investigation.

Re: “Springs Dreams, seeking investors, PTSD, and more

NEW ONLINE COMPUTER THERAPY PROGRAM FOR PTSD SHOWS RESULTS:

A new ONLINE confidential user-friendly therapy program at PTSDSTRESS.com reduces anxiety, stress and other symptoms of PTSD and traumatic stress causes by combat conditions, domestic and sexual violence. Most users are less anxious, calmer, more relaxed after 1-3 sessions. There is no therapist. The user interacts with an interactive program developed for online use that doesn't require a therapist

Relief lasts. Traumatic memories fade. There's no registration. No personal information of any kind is required to use the program. University of Cincinnati research showed stress reduction of 61.5% after PTSDSTRESS.com program use on personal computers.

If they get this far our only hope is to ask Allah for mercy. This is total bs. It's a wonder they didn't flip a Stryker heading up that hill.

Re: “Case closed

"... greeted by a "hysterical" female who claimed Guy was shooting in the air and at houses." Except for when Zubeck wants to trash the police, this would normally be a bad thing. A very bad thing.

"Guy was loading a magazine into a handgun, which was on the table in a "locked back" position — meaning it was not loaded." Zubeck and other gun babies here would be wetting themselves if they saw this through their own window. But for some reason, Pam implies this should raise no alarm for police during a report of a drunk, stoned active shooter.

When you place a loaded mag into a semi-auto with the slide is back, its loaded. It only takes the flick of a finger and a fraction of a second to snap the slide in place, feed a round into the chamber and cock the firing mechanism.

Pam bless your ignorant, agenda-driven heart dear. If you're going to write stories about guns, carve out a few minutes to educate yourself.

Re: “Taxes and potholes, gay marriage, guns in public places, and more

Gina Douglas! Who protects you from an assailant in your home or in public? Are you 6 foot 5 inches 275 lbs of muscle and workout daily? What is the definition of "terrorism"? A dozen or so Americans are killed each year by terrorists. I will say that is the type of terrorist we read about and not a person who just plain terrorizes others. And feeling sorry for someone as you said you did is the delusion that you are better and are not going to die. Lose that attitude.
No American on earth has ever been or ever will be struck by a meteor.
The fact that many people nowadays carry concealed has made all of us safer. You do not know who is carrying and neither do bad persons. They do not like to take chances so they hunt on Bill Clinton's safe for lunatics zones; public schools!
Our inalienable Rights have a lot of weight and they are all we have. They are guaranteed which means they cannot be changed or adjusted. Any changes that have been made are a violation of Rights but many do not know this out of ignorance. The lack of education is as at the heart of it and guess who runs the schools? See you are already a bit smarter!(if you answered "government")
As for myself I am joining in on the movement that will clean out Washington DC and state houses of all sitting politicians. The movement is asking every voter to not vote. The incumbents will then be asked to clean out their desks. The people will then adhere to The Constitution and elect representatives for a term with the main rule that campaigns must be self-financed with a spending limit and nobody can lobby or contribute a dime. Special interests are gone. Military can return home to protect our borders and our Rights and police can return to walking the beat. If you want a service then you pay a tax for it. The Bill of Rights will no longer be interpreted by anyone over 10 years old. That is a good start unless you like things the way they are...

And in the ballpark:
In a 1939 game, pitcher Bob Feller's mother was cheering her boy on from the stands on Mother's Day. While Feller was pitching, a foul ball was hit into the stands, smacking poor Mrs. Feller in the head and injuring her over the eye.

And
It seemed strange enough that a foul ball hit by Denard Span
would fly into the stands and hit a woman who was wearing his jersey from the Twins. The woman was Span's mother.

finally just for fun ...
Pete Rose' final at-bat as a major league player on August 17, 1986. Rose, batting as a pinch hitter, struck out. Who was the pitcher?

I'm glad the officer did what he did.
Someone who has shot 18 shots in a residential area while intoxicated is a huge threat and deserves to be treated like one.
Praise to you Officer Jorstad and I hope you see this.

"Something is a afoot"? It's called readiness! You like the freedom to publish liberal BS right? You and your liberal readers should praise the Military which protects your right to report in a clearly biased manner.

Lesson learned. While high and drunk, don't discharge a firearm multiple times into the air placing yourself into such a position.

Re: “Drones coming to Carson, plan for high-risk houses, and more

K- ISIS was not the topic of this thread - US military spending is. You have completely ignored my points on that. Case closed.

Here's why I'm content to simply disagree with you and be done with this. I could post multiple links that say different about the origin of the specific group known as ISIS. Did you know those roots go back to 1999? You will pooh-pooh my sources because that's how lefties counter. Then I could fill 12 vertical inches of comment space with direct quotes from the sources. Then you would change the subject. In the meantime, you have not offered up a single link yourself.

The people I really want to reach have gotten bored with both of us and moved on.

Call the flavors of radical Islam whatever you want, ISIS, Al Qaeda, Taliban, Al Fatah, Boko Haram, PFLP, PLO, ANO... You cannot refute that the civilized West has been at war with radical Islam for centuries. Radical Islam was burning people alive and slashing throats long before Bush/Cheney and the oh so evil cheerleader pyramid they made at Abu Ghraib.
