This establishment is my next door neighbor. My tattoo shop is right next to them. I have never had any problems whatsoever with any of the people that go here. They are quiet, perfect neighbors. I don't consume MJ in any form, but that's my personal choice. I believe others should be able to choose to smoke or ingest MJ in this club. They are doing no harm to anyone whatsoever. Leave them alone! The city would be spending their time and money more wisely were they to help some of the homeless on the streets downtown. These poor people really do need help. K.C Stark is a great neighbor and a cool guy.
Studio A64 is following all rules and codes as stated. The notion that "most" establishments are used for a certain purpose does not reign as a valid violation. What is exactly being violated here? I feel a social club that is in great standing with the owner. The owner even came to city hall to testify of how great a tenant K.C. Stark has been and how the police have never been called on Studio A64 and that there have never been any complaints. Studio A64 is a cultural establishment in Colorado Springs that is a treasure. There will be plenty of voices there to testify to that.
Studio A64 based our foundation on American history. From the Bill of Rights to Private Property Rights. From the Founding fathers principles of life and liberty, to no taxation without representation, from Amendments 20 and Amendment 64. We are Americans. Not AmeriCan'ts. Join us.
A itsy bitsy fact of American history. Who would have known?
"The Elks had modest beginnings in 1868 as a social club (then called the "Jolly Corks") established as a private club to elude New York City laws governing the opening hours of public taverns."
I am glad that A64 club won its designation as a private social club and can stay open...I wish the governor would have spent the money on more substantial things our state needs but it's a start
Fortunately the "over 65" disapprovers are dying off.
Also, if I were a MJ business person, I would use the logo and tell the state to gfys. A nice court challenge or two is what they need to set them straight.
AGAIN- WHY IS CS NOT DEVELOPING A HEMP INDUSTRY HERE?
XTRM Cannabis Ventures to Grow and Process Medical Marijuana and Hemp.
I guess Hemp and Hemp Products as supported by the new Farm Bill do not get to use the logo and program either? What about businesses that get busted for Federal law violations? EPA, Labor, Safety...Do they automatically get excluded and the list updated? This might be an interesting lawsuit, news story follow-up and public interest story.
Does the health board of El Paso have scientific proof with a preponderance of evidence of what they just published as fact without public meetings on the subject? Do they understand and why are they not publishing the same as alcohol standard of basis and also the UNDER 21 standards of practice? The basis of what they did with this is very legally suspect if someone proves standing if not pure constitutional in core basis.
I was called and told to take the new logo down from my web site...because of the word "cannabis!" I said, "Gladly!" I have had 500 people come from other states and visit, paying all the "tourist" taxes! …Shine A Light

Gurordori, the current drug testing methods are really messed up, especially in a state where people have MMJ, leaving the RMJ issue alone. I think that will change sooner rather than later. As for the no-knock thing -- yeah, that hasn't been working out too well lately. That needs to go too.
RMJ & MMJ are still a Schedule I Narcotic just so the feds have the right to NO KNOCK and break down the door of ANY citizen in the USA with probable cause as an excuse.
It also prevents updating of employment laws like the one on my job where even MMJ patients can be fired just for not passing a drug test and using during work hours, but if I am arrested for DWI with alcohol, my job doesn't have the right to fire me because there is a law against firing someone just cause they got arrested.
"First of all, [deciding] what is and isn't a Schedule I narcotic is a job for Congress," Funny, in a sensible world that would be job of scientists. Pot is not a narcon.
MARIJUANA is for losers.

I hope Medical-marijuana patient Bob Crouse gets $$$ from the city for what DA May put him thru with the bogus arrest and mistreatment of his MMJ plants. Maybe now the city will take us MMJ patients more seriously with how they treat us according to the COLORADO STATE LAW!
We voted on it November 5th...
Too bad, so sad. The only effect these counties will have from the sales will be the portion they get for their schools and that's it. The rest is people sitting in their homes with the goodies they purchased in another county, not effecting the prohibitionists in their county. No retail, no spoils, you missed out. Think about it when you're repealing your moratoriums when Denver, Larimer and Boulder counties are making bank and able to finance municipal projects.

They're about accountable government generally, not just as this relates to marijuana issues.
