Yes, it would fail us because if a MMJ patient is in an accident, the insurance companies will try to settle before any tickets are resolved and the patient will lose out on the settlement and be found neglegant. It has happened to me before with just an erronous fail to stop ticket that I shouldn't have been given, so what would prevent the insurance companies from saying that we are inpaired, and therefore, they don't have to pay our claims?
says Waller — his suggests a "permissive inference" limit. Basically, that means the accused would have the option of proving to the court why they weren't impaired
Guilty until proven innocent. The government fails us again...
if they already have impaired driving laws on the books, why on earth do we have to add another one?
The presumption that thc in ones system indicates intoxication is incorrect and has been proven an invalid measure already.
Leave it to the lawmakers to keep making laws... even if we don't need them.

I'm still waiting on my MMJ Patients Bill of Rights that states that I have the right to not be fired just for being a patient, the right to not be evicted just for being a patient, the right to drive my car and realistic standards for DUI, and the right to own a gun since I have never been convicted of a crime or institutionalized for mental illness. I am a tax paying American citizen and I deserve these rights! I was almost fired because I wrote a letter to the CS Indy. I don't go to work under the influence, but because they are a non-profit, they say they have to follow Federal Law. When is the Federal law going to match our State Amendment 20, and when are my State Reps going to give us these rights instead of just being concerned with the legalization and collection of the taxes and fees generated from this industry. It's time they stepped up and did their jobs! MMJ PATIENTS RIGHTS ARE NEEDED TODAY, NOT IN ANOTHER TEN YEARS!!!
Be sure to join in the boycott of Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance members. They want the feds to come to CO and bust you for your legal Marijuana.
You can find a list of members here.
The have clearly stated that they don't want Marijuana or Medical Marijuana and the associated monies, so don't give them even a penny.
historic. epic. what a week. congrats, Ali and the RMM family. glad we could be there. keep the miracles coming. KC
Hurrayyyy!!!! Congrats to Ali! This is great news! You deserved this win-- Kudos to your legal team for thumping Dan May hard, and thanks to the jury for voting with both their brains and their hearts!
Dan May-- you're fighting a battle you cannot, and will not, win. Your days of playing evil dictator are over. I've never been so happy to watch a person's career crumble as I have been to watch yours! You wanted to be Attorney General? I'd kiss those dreams goodbye. No one wants a person in office who A) Can't understand or follow the law; and B) Can't manage to win a single case against a bunch of pot smokers. I bet that really pisses you off.
Happy for Ali! Very sad that she had to go through this. Dan May, karma is coming for you!
Dan May has been getting away with harassment since he's been in office...It's our duty to let the public know about his wasteful spending habits and harassing of sick people and business owners! This must stop NOW! Dan 0 MMJ 7
Dan May is now 0 for 7 in his assault against medical marijuana. At some point we can hope that he and his minions in the police department will quit wasting millions of dollars on a mission that is based solely upon his personal beliefs.
If you sincerely believe that prohibition is a dangerous and counter-productive policy then you can stop helping to enforce it. You are entitled—required even—to act according to your conscience.
* It only takes one juror to prevent a guilty verdict.
* You are not lawfully required to disclose your voting intention before taking your seat on a jury.
* You are also not required to give a reason to the other jurors on your position when voting. Simply state that you find the accused not guilty!
* Jurors must understand that it is their opinion, their vote. If the Judge and the other jurors disapprove, too bad. There is no punishment for having a dissenting opinion.
We must create what we can no longer afford to wait for and end the most destructive, dysfunctional, dishonest and racist social policy since Slavery.
PLEASE VOTE TO ACQUIT!
HB-1043 is for MMJ Caregiver Registration, NOT 1284, as reported. The entire MMED registration process is ILLEGAL under Colorado Constitutional Law Article 18 Section 14 (Amend.20, 2000)
Unlike Colorado Massachusetts law requires that dispensaries operate as non-profits.
Regarding the "First to Legalize" promotion... It is being run by the group that was most vocal against the passing amendment 64. They collected donations for a competing bill, amendment 70, yet could not even muster up the money to print off petitions to get signed.
Now they see a means to profit from the passing of the A64. Please do not support their profiteering actions. They are just making a living from the cause without really doing anything beneficial.
Pretty sure they were refusing to return his Medical Marijuana because they knew that they had ruined it during storage. Returning dead plants and ruined Medical Marijuana will expose the city to significant liability...in the multiple hundreds of thousands range.
Why don't they just man up and say "sorry we put you through 2 years of hell and then ruined your medicine." It's the government. After wasting untold hundred of thousands of dollars pushing this sham of a case through the courts, they will waste even more untold thousands by forcing Mr. Crouse to sue the city in order to recover for the damages caused.
This is only one of several actions from Dan May and CSPD that will be resulting is suits filed against the city for damages. The will of the people is stronger than the personal agenda of our biased District Attorney. The courts are proving this out in repeated instances.
it was an amazing event. thanks, Chris and the MMJBusinessDaily for inviting us to speak during the 2 days. it was one of the most business focused events to date for marijuana in Colorado and our nation.
Licensing adds only about a thousand dollars per month, nutrients a few hundred dollars more.
Not only do I "think" people are 'doing it' but I "know" people who are producing for less than $500 per pound today in commercial production facilities. This is why the large producers are able to continue dropping the price and, ironically, it's the main reason any of the single mom-and-pop stores are still in business at all. Here in Co Springs there are two dispensaries that already sell at $20 per 1/8th.
"Seriously, if marijuana could be grown and sold for $2.97 an 1/8th, don't you think somebody would already be doing that?"
Just because you are not aware of actual production costs you assume nobody else is, this is not logic. You've demonstrated the math yourself, why do you still question it?
Yeah, there are no other expenses involved, like nutrients, licensing, insurance, taxes, etc etc etc... Seriously, if marijuana could be grown and sold for $2.97 an 1/8th, don't you think somebody would already be doing that? Give it a shot, see where you land.
Dear "Are you kidding me ?"
Clearly you are the one who needs a math refresher. You first tried to come up with numbers that wouldn't work and in the process you successfully demonstrated that even an idiot like you could produce 113 pounds in this site for as little as $297 per pound, close to what I estimated. Great job proving my point with your insane numbers:
electric: 12240 ($0.10 x 340 x 12 x 30)
labor: 10300 ($12/hr x 40 hrs x 5 people)
cooling: 6000 (some magical number you came up with)
divided by 113 pounds
$297/pound or $2.31 per eighth.
Thanks again for proving my point.
Yes, it will take a ton of money but nobody said it would not. If you can build my garden for less than $50/sq ft I'll hire you. That's $500,000 in build-out alone. (Figured I'd help you since the math thing seems beyond your grasp).
Further, you should know, there are MUCH MUCH bigger gardens in Colorado than 10,000 sq ft already operating. There is one company alone who controls almost 5 acres of indoor grow space, and they are driving the price down in their several retail store fronts.
Now tell me again why the price per eighth is still above $25 in most stores. Don't waste your time because it won't be for long, I can promise you that.
And shame on you for not actually bothering to do actual calculations before attacking someone with an actual business and an actual business plan. Go crawl back under your bridge, troll.
