Re: “Big gigs

Saw KISS last year with my kids. Tried to explain to them that it was as much about the showmanship as the music. It was awesome. awesome close seats for $50 a tickets bought outside 5 mins before show started at
http://www.tickethold.com/concerts/motley-…

If I had the chance to see motley I would want to be more close.

Re: “Look back in anger

Does the ego thing include Fred? Because that may be the most egoless, nice guy musician I have ever met. I first spoke with him when he was touring with The Color Fred and then again when he came through as part of The Lemonheads backing band, not only did he remember our conversation from years before but he was just as enthusiastic and cool as I remembered, seemed like he had nothing but good to say about anyone he had ever played with

Re: “Art for punk's sake

good article.Having had a long association with the band ,I'm thrilled that they still play occasionally and even happier when I can see them. If you like good Punk and live near Denver,This is rare opportunity to view the Mutants live. GO!

If you like hip-hop, you might like my blog, Rhymes and Reasons. It’s a series of interviews with hip-hop heads who discuss their lives and a few songs that matter to them. Pretty powerful stuff. Check’em out here:

Re: “Reverb

Greetings Adam:

First let me say I enjoy reading Reverb in each edition of The Independat!
I am Tommy Gunn, frontman for March Heir, a local Country Rock band with a CD in production for release this summer. March Heir is performing at Sunshine Studios Live Events Center on Saturday March 10,2012 at 8:00 and 10:00 PM,
We are filming a music video of the material on our upcoming CD and follow-up tour. We are giving away our pre-release CDs to the first 50 people who attend the event, and attendees will be in the video with national distrbution. Additionally, our performance that night will be streeming live on Youtube.
I am from N.Y. as is my management company and record label. Therefore I am unfamiliar with the promotioal entities in this area. I am seeking advertisement in the Reverb section to invite musicians, performers, dancers, and anyone wanting to appear in a music video to Sunshine Studios on March 10th.
I am hoping you can assist me in this regard, as I think being the first band from Colorado Springs to release a CD with a major label, would be of great interest to our friends in the Springs. I would appreciate hearing from you to discuss how we might ptoceed with the plans I have outlined.
I welcome a call at 229-4437, or you can email me at tommytgunn@comcast.net. By the way, I have put our bio in The Independant, so you can familiarize yourself further with the band. Thank you in advance for your help in this regard as I remain gratefully yours:
Tommy Gunn/ March Heir
