This place is great. His main dishes are great. Best BBQ in the Springs and the sides are amazing. It is easy to tell that he loves to cook. Give Amos a try!
Great food - Amos does it all himself and he clearly cares that his customers are pleased by his food. This place is hard to see from the street, but simple to find; its nondescript exterior hides a treasure inside. You are missing out if you skip this!
Sancho's Mexican Grub is the best Mexican food in Colorado Springs. Finally found a Mexican food place that tastes like home! If you have not tried it, you are missing out!
Yeah great review and great place, just an off ramp off the Santa Fe trail it makes a great stop off for a pleasant bike ride with great coffee, food and a cool atmosphere. Been a few weeks since my last visit so will have to make a bee line to see all the latest developments and enjoy another coffee. After a recent article Urban shared on the differences between a latte and a cappuccino I will be taking more notice of the pour
Nice write-up! I asked a lot of questions when I went over there, but don't know enough about coffee to get this much detail. I'll look forward to going back and knowing what to ask to get the most out of the experience. Thank you!

Hands down the best place to eat in Colorado Springs...and fairly priced even still...and everyone is important...the food is so carefully prepared and served...makes me hungry even to think about eating there.
"Stomach-stirring" sounds like something one doesn't want to have!
Charlie's is dirty, disorganized, and sure to make you sick. The specialize in burned pork ribs that are tough as nails and grisly. I find it hands down the not even BBQ really.
Raven's Nest has always been privately owned by people who care about coffee and their customers...support them and you support local business along with rewarding hard working people for their good attitude in making life small town lovely!
Thank you Indy for the great write up of Urban Steam. They've introduced a Monkey Wrench into my breakfast plans and I love it!
Beer Lover...this is certainly not my experience of this place...the service was very accommodating and eager to please without being bothersome. The beer was cold and thirst quenching as well mind bending. The food was real high end bar food, as good as it gets in Colorado Springs. I will certainly become as much a regular here as the fiscal cliff will allow me.
Obviously this place gets a favorable review due to advertising. The service is horrible, the food comes out cold and the beer is foul. I've yet been able to eat or drink a beautiful building. The owners may be able to hire talented contractors, but have no clue how to run a brewery or restaraunt. Their brewing equipment is not even hooked up at the new location. The staff at both locations don't appear to have any training to speak of and don't have a clue about the menu or beers. Waste of time and money!!!
The torta ahogada is meant to be drowning in sauce (ahogada literally means "drowned"). That's the style in Guadalajara, where that style of torta originates. Thanks for the review -- looking forward to trying Quijote's! Yum.
I am less than eager to patronize establishments that are sqaking about health care reform. Especially when the owners have a numerous restaurants and are clearly not hurting.
This man is a complete scam artist and just took me for all the money I had saved to move. I would now be homeless if it weren't for friends. He is good at what he does, be careful and watch for his properties on University and Pikes Peak and one on Pikes Peak and Logan. Everything will seem completely legitimate, but it's not. I will not rest until he pays for his heartlessness.
I had a truly delicious cup of coffee at Kelly's shop. What a delight! Brett from Mission Coffee Roasters
Randy Sigley? Property manager? Watch out, the man is a scam artist and had scammed dozens of people in colorado springs.
I find they lack quality control, are fairly inconsistent, and simply not very careful.
The sausage varies from having sat under the heater lamp and dried out to raw in the center. If you order three eggs, you could easily be served two. The amazing thing is that the menu lists three eggs, so why would you ever just have two delivered from the kitchen.
The pancakes can range from rubber to raw as well. They still need a little work...also having a 20 year old waitress have to tell you what they like is beside the point, my tastebuds are a bit more known to me than needing their input.
This place is very very nice, glad to have you there, cares that you have a good experience, and rightly proud of their food. I don't know where to begin talking about what is good here, just a really nice place to have a healthy and satisfactory bite to eat, feeling good in your tummy after the fact.
Re: “Good Karma: Enlightenment found in Manitou Springs”
I was taken here to eat the other week (as a Buddhist monk, I dug the name). Their Reuben was delicious, and generous proportionate to the price. The coffee was good, and the atmosphere nice.
