Black Forest Animal Sanctuary is very proud to be able to bring dogs like Joey from death row and provide them with a purpose. Like helping veterans like Travis.

Re: “CSU's lack of transparency, veterans defending the Constitution, and more

2.12. Balance of Free Exercise of Religion and Establishment Clause. Leaders at all levels must balance constitutional protections for their own free exercise of religion, including individual expressions of religious beliefs, and the constitutional prohibition against governmental establishment of religion. They must ensure their words and actions cannot reasonably be construed to be officially endorsing or disapproving of, or extending preferential treatment for any faith, belief, or absence of belief.

Wearing the uniform while doing that evangelizing is a reasonable construction of officially endorsing their faith by the military, and such is as much of a no-no as engaging in partisan politics while wearing the uniform, which violates the Hatch Act.

Colonel Crews is simply incorrect, and needs to get his facts straight. And Cadet Watkins needs to take off the uniform while evangelizing.

Re: “Urban-rural: sharing a leaky boat

>"We built the nation," she said. "Mining, timber, agriculture that's what made America."

>That's a mild expression of the belief that cities are not part of the real America.

No, Hazy, it isn't, except in your senile mind. What it actually is, is a statement of fact--without the minerals to make the steel and roads, and the wood to make the buildings, and the agriculture to feed the people, there would be no cities and no America.

The rest of this screed is nothing more than a bad segue into the very class divisions and identity politics that Hazy decried in the third paragraph, thus illustrating that he and his liberal tendencies are part of the same problem he bemoans, primarily because the identities are those he doesn't agree with.

He concludes the screed with this question, which he then answers incorrectly:

>Can we build localized, sustainable economies that will create jobs for all? That may be a pipe dream.

No, it isn't, but the liberal mindset with its environmental whackoism, centralized planning, and sever lack of innovation and entrepreneurship can't handle the concept that when left to their own devices, people can do extraordinarily creative and revolutionary things, including creating the localized and sustainable economy that he calls a pipe dream.

The lesson to be learned is simple an unambiguous: liberals caused the boat to leak. Time to throw them and their policies overboard and re-embrace the decentralized, limited government and individual freedom that not only built this nation, but built it great and strong.

Re: “Legally, it doesn't take much for a guest to stake a claim to your home

I had a similar situation get a restraining order say you are afraid dont say hes living with you use his previous address for serving him...file proof of service.

Then change your locks...yes change your locks.

Put a copy of restraining order and proof of service,ur lease and a statement.
Saying....
This man is trespassing and restrained from myself and property.

Dont say anything else.

When the police come.
Put your earplugs in.
The police cant break in and his key wont work.
Restraining order isnt for cops to dispute.

If you have to speak to the police.
And they threatenen illegal lock out.

With or without a restraining .

This man does not live here..its a civil matter for the courts.

Go inside lock ur door.

9 times out of 10.

Loser wont file...
Worked for me ...twice.

Re: “"Alt-right" darling Milo Yiannopoulos' possible speech at UCCS causes stir

You should get Timothy Kurek to speak, author of the book "The Cross in the Closet" about a straight man who for one year came out as gay to see how his family, friends and church would respond. Great read and shows how peoples perceptions of another can be so bias when you don't take the time to know someone, and how religion warps this perception. https://www.facebook.com/timothykurek/

Re: “Ballot measure would ask to keep TABOR excess for stormwater

I'd support a storm-water fee on new development, as developers are the root cause of the issue.

Re: “Ballot measure would ask to keep TABOR excess for stormwater

The problems with the storm water drainage systems began with the land developers. The developers were in charge of engineering and building systems that would adequately drain storm water. They were suppose to design and build systems adequate for the surrounding areas also, and were given credits for the costs to mitigate the surrounding areas. However, they always had financial incentives to design and build the least expensive approach. The City engineers had a minimal role in these undertakings and were unqualified to review and validate the engineering. Until this developer administered system is replaced with an enforceable system that ensures adequate engineering and construction, the problems will continue.

Re: “Ballot measure would ask to keep TABOR excess for stormwater

It would appear as if this mayor and this council have inherited 'the buck stops here' moment in time to rectify a problem that has been building for 30 years. And none of the solutions are going to be received well by the voting public! Tough choices.

Yet it seems as if the council is not willing to deal with the issue NOW as the unpleasant choices they will have to make will jeopardize their chances for re-election. Which begs the question - if getting re-elected 'trumps' doing the job they were elected to do, should they all not be voted out of office?

Re: “Don't expect a fly-over today

Actually, that looks like the twin-tail version of the F16 with the lower airscoop removed! The ones subcontracted to the firm in St. Louis by the firm in Fort Worth. The carrier version, no less! :--}}

Re: “"Alt-right" darling Milo Yiannopoulos' possible speech at UCCS causes stir

Colorado Springs Democrats scrambling to find something negative, typical election tactics! We've already found neo-Nazi stuff on the walls in the b-rooms, LOL. Milo's a gay jew, yeah I'm sure all these CSprings Nazi's are supporting that. Don's comment above is typical of the Democrat's attempts to shut something down when it doesn't feed their agenda. Love the UCCS professor who wants to invite an English man to speak on U.S. subjects when he's already shown his disdain for the upcoming President. Let's invite Joe Schmo from Alabama to speak at the next Brexit meeting and tell us what needs to be done (btw, he told a joke once he seems funny).

Re: “Don't expect a fly-over today

Pam,

Just a small criticism: if you are going to talk about a flyover (or non-flyover) of F-16s, then the picture of a jet should be an F-16

Re: “"Alt-right" darling Milo Yiannopoulos' possible speech at UCCS causes stir

On the contrary to Dr. Rose's sentiment, UCCS not only can but should refuse the UCCS College Republicans' request to invite Yiannopoulos to the campus. His actions on Twitter led to rape and death threats for several people, including Randi Lee Harper, Leslie Jones, and Jessica Valenti and her 5-year-old daughter. Turning Point USA runs a "professor watchlist" website that constitutes a threat to the safety of liberal and progressive instructors.

Yiannopoulos has a First Amendment right to express himself, but that right cannot come at the expense of the UCCS community's safety.

Re: “UPATE: Did dinosaurs and humans co-exist? Flier at USAFA says yes.

it is interesting how people who consider themselves religious are so supportive of our p***y grabber president elect. is it his greed... or his fraudulent business behavior... or his sexual assaults... or his approval of torture...
perhaps it makes sense since he and the church avoid taxes... consider woman second class citizens... think "other" religions should be banned completely from being in the US... enjoy a good child rape then deny it... think women should be punished for having a legal abortion... and lastly believe fake stories and repeat them as if they are real and can't be convinced how ridiculous they sound.
