look up US patent number 6630507. that is all the answer and proof you need. for those too lazy that patent us held by the S government on the medical benefits of marijuana
And sorry, I complimented the writer earlier, but it can't be said enough: Thanks, Laura, for writing this.
You guys are right, but Reefer Madness" brainwashing still runs deep :(
they believe what their leaders tell them to believe. but I bet in the coming years that will change.
This is awesome! So much of the prohibitionist rhetoric is centered around "protecting" our children. When the public sees the compassionate use of marijuana in children and associates it with a better quality of life for children who need it, we may start to realize our draconian pot policy is actually harming our children, and to protect them, we need to legalize this plant and realize the full potential of its benefit to humanity.
Incredibly, there are still people who deny the myriad medical benefits of marijuana.
The Cure Race would do better if they didn't hold their event on Sunday mornings when so many generous people are in church.
Correction: 75% of the profits from the race for the cure go to local programs. 25% (the rest) goes to breast cancer research. That's 100% charity.
Great article!!! For more info on helping LOCAL charity runs, read more here: http://www.upadowna.org/2013/05/01/ready-s…
Also, read the fine print. If the race claims that "75% of donations go to local efforts" the follow up question is to see if the race itself is that "local effort" or "educational program" that they are supporting (those t-shirts and cups of gatorade are not free) and that quoted percentage may only be for donations above and beyond the base entry fee. Also note that many of the races make a donation based on the net profits, not gross. It can be a very small number after the race organizers take their cut.
For this reason I will not volunteer or run in a race run by a for-profit organization here in town. There are just too many other good races that are fully managed and operated by volunteer based non-profits around here.
**SPOILER** Walter gets popped (shot and killed) by his brother in law. Skyler takes over the empire. Jesse gets her started and then vanishes. Saul Goodman gets his own show.
But it does not show meth in a good light, dummies.
VERY COOL Falcone! So proud of you!
You forgot a link to the #cstweetup page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/cstweetup As a regular participant in the tweetup hikes, I think the popularity of @HikingBob on Twitter, and attendance at the hikes, is greatly influenced by #cstweetup
i am so proud to call this man my son-in-law!!! we have a close family and we will gather around and support him all of the way!
This is powerful - thank you Laura and Kevin.
All women should take self defense classes, carry a gun (know how to use it, practice with it), and USE IT!!! Then use a Taser on him and then mace him then kick the shit out of him then call the police. When people realize it's up to them to protect themselves because there will never be police protection during normal life, that's when the numbers of these crimes will drop. And when the criminals start to understand that they may be killed committing there crime, the numbers will drop.
This is only the tip of the iceberg of what IS NOT reported in a informative manner to the general public. In the past 3 years I personally have witnessed 1st hand, on several occasions, the crime wave ranging from rape, abduction, shootings, and auto thefts that have become chronic and severe at ALL the areas city's parks and public lands. There are many crime reports every week that the CO Sp cops consistently withhold or under report. I asked an officer at one scene where a dozen or so cars were vandalized (and a gun was even stolen out of one) why I cant find any follow-up info in the local news, he said they are profiling the various groups of suspects they believe responsible but don't have the training or resources to dedicate to the problem. By not alerting the general public and under-reporting the level of severity of the problem they have more time (thus are more likely) to eventually catch the criminals. I feel this just shows the police didn't want to bring attention to the actual fact they are not able to do the job tax payers pay them to do..... for what ever reason: poor training, financial, staffing, priorities ... whatever the reason I just know the public areas MANY of us think of as a retreat to get away to enjoy the "Great Outdoors" has been and continues to be places very risky for everyone- more so women- and especially women who hit the trails alone.
Colorado Springs is the land of rape and assault.
Sadly the message will fall mostly on deaf ears given that this city just elected a wife beater for mayor and the "religious" crowd sees women as belonging at home, not out jogging like some uppity liberal.
