Re: “No country for old men

This has a simple answer, contact the Federal office of tribal affairs. They are members of a nearly extinct native American tribe and have rights as tribal members. The Navajo represent the remaining Jamanos. As a member of the tribe through birth they are protected against deportation by treaty.

Re: “No country for old men

Donald Trump, and the other GOP losers running for office, would deport these guys who've paid more dues for this county than virtually all the loudmouths who support the GOP / TEA septic tank of lies and hate.
Pathetic GOP candidates. Pathetic GOP party. Pathetic GOP voters.

Re: “Gustavo Arellano will now take your questions

Our country has indeed gone mad. We are spending so much time over who made what PC mistake while we are in ruins and burning,

Does anyone realize that illegals kill the equivalent of a 9/11 Americans every year and hurt or main hundreds of thousands of Americans? Am I the only one that sees how they are replacing Americans? Everyone is starting to look Mexican !! Have you seen the ads on TV?? Hardly ever seen on Mexican faces in ALL KINDS OF ADS. Its because the LATINO invasion is winning the minds and hearts of our media and our corporations.

I was in a shop today where I swear 75% of the folks were speaking Spanish and looked like they crossed over our Southern border recently. They were probably mostly Mexican but the point is they are in our country, taking our places and our jobs and we are letting our politicians get away with it. Elect someone who is NOT a politician and will fix this !!!

Does anyone realize that our own internal issues like poor healthcare (hugely inefficient and expensive) is going to destroy us? ISIS is another distraction...

That our political system is completely broken?
We have too many regulations and are ruining any chance of new businesses or existing small businesses being successful and providing jobs?
That we are in 19T $ of debt and are China's plaything?

For God's sake America.

FOCUS ON THE TRUE ISSUES - If we thrive on PC issues even at this point in the game then we will have past the point of no return,

Our issues are BIG yet we talk about inconsequential nonsense!! We need to start moving in the direction of truth and the big picture or we will never survive.
Here's some more data on how many people are killed and hurt by illegals:

Re: “Trapped in the dying mall

Hi! Does anyone remember the name of the night club at Chapel Hills Mall? It was where the ice rink went in. I think it had a Cadillac sitting outside. Thanks!

Re: “Full force

Pam does a pretty good job of making brown look like the victim. Just to clarify, brown was the guy chasing a teenager with a baseball bat, firing a gun in city limits, and threatening to kill all of them? When does she feel police force is justified?

Re: “Full force

Whether you "support" the CSPD or not, this story should strike a nerve at the very center of your American soul. The fact that the CSPD can take these actions, investigate the matter themselves and then bury the report of the investigation "for the public good" makes it appear as if we live under martial law. A home destroyed with explosives, shots fired, compound fractures, 30-minute delay attending to life threatening wounds caused by police. This could be considered reasonable force if they were seeking Osama Bin Laden in a war-torn country, but absolutely over the top in this circumstance. An outside agency must be called in over this case.

Re: “Om on the range

My girl friend and I attended the FIRST gathering in 1972 and I am adding a chapter of my upcoming book (and movie I pray) to that gathering. We attend two other Rock Festivals during that same period, one on Bull Island, Indiana, and the other near Evansville, Indiana.

All three gatherings were meaningful to my life, and I cherish the memories. The gathering at Strawberry Lake were filled with smog like smoke due to burning green wood, but we met a lot of good people and heard a lot of original music throughout the nights. We even met up with some people later in life.

If anyone else attended the 1972 gathering, let me know your experience. You can email me at

Are you out there Kathy LeMausuier?

Re: “Last Ditch effort

Even with all the rains, I think now is the time for city residents to really give a lot of thought to how badly they want those lush green lawns. We got rid of ours. I don't miss it. I don't have to mow and water all the time, my yard is full of lush drought-tolerant perennials which attract tons of gentle bees that pollinate my fruit trees. A small vegetable garden is producing fresh food for the table. All at a lower cost than watering a lawn.

Re: “How the search for one grieving mother challenged local agencies

As a general rule, incident command is done by fire departments unless it is a criminal, law enforcement matter.

Re: “The jet set

There has been a long history of over spending in both our County and City Governments. The Elpaso County Coroners Office is a perfect example of this, The elected Coroner flys to different locations across the United States and abroad to give expert testimony on the taxpayers dime and is given a per day stipened while he is there. I understand that there are travel budgets in place for when the work pertains to City and County affairs, but the wages of these County officials are public record and Dr Robert Bux can certainly afford to pay his own way to some of these events on what he makes.

So Jon I take it your house in COS is on the market? Picked out a comfy little cottage near the Capitol? I mean, if it's really a no brainier...

Great job, Pam. I'm sure BB's comment is exactly the sentiment you intended to inspire.

You want to see what's the "forefront" of a modern city? It's easy, go to Denver just an hour away. Stop ignoring all the amazing things Denver is doing, and go check it out in person. It's the #1 fastest growing city in America right now. The place for YP's to be. Its' a no brainer.

Re: “Pipe dreams

a massive, 66-inch diameter underground pipe connected to as many as two dozen 3,000-horsepower, earth-rattling pumps along its path. It would suck up to 78 million gallons of water from the Arkansas River every day and send it roaring northward to quench the thirst of a sprawling city. Shared on Facebook.
