I fail to see that blogging anonymously is a no-no, assuming that the blogger adheres to a code of conduct that prohibits directly attacking a blogger who expresses an opinion opposing their own. Only public persons, including especially politicians, have an obligation to use their real names.
I like and respect Clara, who is adamant that bloggers use their real names, and welcome her comments on this matter of etiquette. In the meantime, I'm grateful that the Indy allows all comers to comment on these forums.

The "press" have only themselves to blame. In a bid to attract clicks and likes they have sold out the objective reporting of facts for sensationalism, thus most news articles today are filled with bias and narrative-selling. A true race to the bottom.
