Jimmy: I'm sure you would not want to be viewed as a duplicitous ass and a hypocrite. Therefore, we are all waiting for your piece on the shameful waste of our dear first Lady's vacations. Of course she isn't in your imaginary and despised 1%, because she has the same delusional belief system as you. Or, shall we anticipate an article on how our wonderful President has wasted six trillion dollars in his brief stay with us?
(Aren't you glad you have at least one reader of your drivel?)
It seems like a lot of state parks are closed lately. My husband and I drove down to Zion's National Park in Utah and we saw several signs that said it was closed. We were super unhappy! Why is this happening?
Before using this GMO products better to contact doctor whether these are suitable to your kid or not? Otherwise, your kids may face health disorders in future. Recently, California people won GMO labeling battle. Get more info about Genetically Engineered Food Act - http://www.rosebudmag.com/truth-squad/cali…
We live in the land of the Big Lie, which we learned well from the Third Reich and played to same disastrous results in the "Permanent Republican Majority" of Tom Delay, Jack Abramoff, KKKarl Rove, George Bush and the biggest lie of all, "deficits don't matter" by Darth Cheney.
Thanks Jim, I hope those evil companies will get ALL they deserve. They are really clueless.
K: Not sure why you keep referring to the Republicans. I don't give a shit for the Republicans. I am also not a fan of the huge defense budget. Remember, I want to cut the Federal government by 90%. That includes the military, although I would cut the military budget by 50%. I have stated many times the last legitimate war was WWII. So stop with the war dodge.
**The unions are more destructive and wield more political influence than corporations.**
As to what Obama wants: you know as well as I that Obama wants a huge all powerful Federal Government that provides cradle to grave entitlement to anyone that wants it. And his plan is to keep borrowing from China to pay for it. (The "rich" certainly don't have enough to do it.)
Obama is a bad joke and, fortunately for the US, will be a one term president
Speaking of twisted little minds, smartestman, where and when did I ever write that "corporations are evil?" Have you forgotten the most basic tenet of the Republicans?--power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Corporations are powerful institutions and need to be held in check even more than elected officials because, being in the private sector, they exercise more direct influence on the economy.
Furthermore, the most "devastating, addictive and destructive" government spending is on the military. Our economy was mortgaged to China so that Republicans could fight two wars while cutting taxes.
Finally, the theme Republicans keep sounding, that Obama wants the federal government to "control everyone's lives," is nothing but a paranoid delusion with no basis in actual fact.
Corporations are evil only in your twisted little mind. I do not believe corporations control government, although they certainly have influence.
The problem is the federal government has become an unfettered behemoth and your buddy Obama wants it to grow much larger and to control everyone's lives. If the folks voting for Obama think what he is handing out is free (and they do) they are truly ignorant. There is no more devastating, addictive and destructive drug than the entitlement.
smartestman, what's the difference?
When corporations control the government, the government controls the people. When the people control the corporations they also control the government. Let's bear in mind that corporations are not born; they are chartered by the government.
"...the five corporate hacks controlling the Supreme Court..."
Jimmy, you are such a putz. You should be ashamed of yourself.
And, in case you are too obtuse to see it --------
"The greatest living issue confronting us today is whether the GOVERNMENT shall control the people or the people shall control the GOVERNMENT."
Well now Jimmy, I bet you think we should all get our news from your personal favorite - MSNBC - the network of screeching, angry, whiny liberals.
NEWS FLASH! An unbelievable occurrence ..............
I agree with you.
fan - a literalist eh? No sense of humor at all then I take it? No sense of irony? Trouble interpreting sarcasm? No sense of subjectivity? How are you at abstract thought?
No need to answer. I'm not that interested.
"and I thought this morning you would be bitching about how unfair it is that common sense prevailed in Wisconsin."
Wow...The self-proclaimed 'smartest man' actually thinks Hightower writes these things the night before they appear in the Indy??? =:^O
And there are more readers than you think...
Jimmy: and I thought this morning you would be bitching about how unfair it is that common sense prevailed in Wisconsin.
You know Jimmy, I may occasionally criticize your articles, but at least I am one of about five people that actually read what you write.
"...the infamous Swift Boat Veterans for Truth that savaged John Kerry's 2004 campaign with a barrage of untruths."
That ANY sentient population could NOT be dissuaded as to the truth of allegations by a legitimate examination of openly proffered records and candor speaks loudly to the mendacity of Mr. Hightower and all those who offer this phony assessment of the Swiftvet revelations.
John Kerry was "savaged" by "Truths" from which neither he nor his campaign nor his supporters could escape...and so it will be recorded by historians worthy of the name.
And speaking of "truth in politics" perhaps we should all emulate Obama and the DNC.
Or perhaps we should all follow your lead, Jimmy. You are certainly non-partisan and balanced in everything you write.
At least Tosches is funny. You are simply a joke that fell flat.
Okay tooth: perhaps I need an attitude exactly like yours? Wouldn't that be peachy?
Actually, there is absolutely nothing wrong with my attitude.
If people like Hightower, that lean so far to the left they are in danger of falling over, write their loony liberal views, don't you think it is alright if occasionally they are challenged?
As to "raw meat, if there is meat glue in my steak, I would prefer it cooked.
There, there Smrt you'll feel much better after a little raw meat and getting your attitude changed.
Hightower - "Liberally dusting" - isn't that what you attempt to do. It seems you mold a bunch of inferior parts in an effort to make your column appear to be a more superior cut.
Don't you think you should preface each article with "reformed and glued"?
