Why is Lilith in my life, I'm male?
Hello, Johnny, Happy Birthday.
Thank you for having Howard at your first seminar. Was it 1968? I think so. He looked at me (I was 22) and said "I know you." We had met when I worked at United Recording in the summer of 1967, 20 years old, in heaven with my heroes.
The memories have served me well.
He was the best,

I think when People Magazine did a photo shoot of him n put him on one of their sexiest or eligible bachelor list i think thats when he was recognized. He did that PS when he was on DWTS n dating Julianne at the same time. I think if he did not have exposure on DWTS and dating Julianne, he wouldn't have made that MSN list. That photo shoot on the beach made him look real hot, I can still picture it in my mind. They wouldn't have asked him to b on DWTS if it wasn't for Julianne, but they wanted a couple....to test the waters.
Awesome, very good interview! This band is one of the originators of this genre and although I'm not a big fan of Abrahadabra-- Dimmu is still and will always be heads above so many of the other black metal bands. Saw them for the first time last Saturday at The Gothic and they were everything I thought they'd be and more!!! EPIC!!!! This band will not be ignored!!!!

Obviously Dean Spunt doesn't watch Craig's show. I find it rather ironic that Dean would judge Craig as a racist by one comment he said about one of the stipulations to appear on the CBS network. Craig has rules to follow and if anyone knows how to "get one by" it would be Craig himself.
It sounds more like you're a tad bit miffed that you didn't get to make a statement about your support for a cause. Your anger is completely misdirected.
You might want to rethink your decision to stand on principle, I think you just shot yourself in the foot. Craig may not have the largest audience but he definitely has the most loyal audience! Have you ever heard of The Robot Skeleton Army??? I think probably not.
Sorry, I just think it was a really stupid move on your part. Craig has more positive comments on YouTube than almost any other. You didn't do your homework Dean.
What was the name of your band again? See if you would have gone on his show all we would have to search for is Craig Ferguson Late Late Show.
pattismack was spot on with that comment.
billy bragg is the best folk /protest singer out there right now....i mean besides you guys
Wow. Obnoxious and self-serving, indeed. The band, I mean, definitely not Craig Ferguson. Randall showed up to the show wearing a t-shirt that's against broadcast television policy, and they're tagging Ferguson as the scapegoat? Despicable. Accusing him of being racist is a low blow.
Also, how respectful of the band to respond their invitation to perform and national tv by "[deciding] to fuck" with the show's host. Speaks volume about their integrity, doesn't it? No wonder no one's ever heard of the band.
This guy is an IDIOT! He doesn't get it at all! Ferguson is not a racist - far from it. It was CBS's policy re the Obama T-shirt, and Ferguson was just trying to make sure that policy was observed (no doubt under duress from network suits). He generally avoids discussing politics in general (and religion) because they are too emotionally charged and that's not what his show's about. He was SINCERE is his shout out to the band regarding the issue because he LOVES rebellion. It's what made America.....America! Lighten up, Dean! It's not all about YOU.
Great article. I could hear Hazel's voice in my head while I was reading. What an amazing woman and this article proves it!

The Genuwines are just a bit fast and upbeat for Isakov. And actually I just heard an illuminati song that changed my mind a bit. So take my prior post with a grain of salt.
Actually, I would disagree with Adam's defining the Genuwines as "country-pop." I think they're more like alt-folk with a bit of a country feel, thus complementing indie folk rocker Isakov quite well.
Genuwines with Isakov? Illuminati with Apples in Stereo? Is this town trying to show the world that we have no idea how to match local bands with touring acts? Nothing wrong with those two local bands, but wisdom on the streets woulda put the Changing Colors with Isakov and El Toro with Apples; seems like a better fit, eh? These two shows are going to draw people that don't see many local bands and appealing to their taste could've done a lot for the right local bands.
A really well written article, and for an American, you've highlighted the importance of the awards Shad has been associated with very well. Good to know people south of the border have heard of him.
Bill, I just want to thank and congratulate you on a well-written article. I'm from Toronto and a huge Shad fan and I always get a little worried about American publications talking about Canadian artists that I love; I worry they'll miss the point. But you really did a nice job with this one and didn't downplay the importance of being nominated for/winning Junos and the Polaris Prize.
My father was responsible for booking these bands into Colorado Springs and there is no mention of him any where. He had one of the biggest music stores at the time. Originally it was Miller Music. He went on his own in 1969 and it became Music Centers INC. Not only was it a Music store but also a recording studio and booking agent. As a child I went to all of these concerts. He was responsible for launching many carreers including the Seeds , and Flash Cadillac . He and his brother were a force to be reckoned with in the Music business in that town. I used to go to Steve Scotts and play with his kids. Without him and his brother many of these concerts would not have happened. You need to research things a little more. His name was Frank Freddes and his brother was Charles . They called my dad "Uncle Frank"
Thanks Adam. You're awesome and we appreciate it.
