Jan Here: Maybe renters should learn and be allowed to fix-up their grounds. I think Indy should do an article on living in poverty all of your life.
The two of us females in our mid 60's need a safe home. We and our 10 pound dog needs a rent to own home, or a place you want off your hands, at $1,000.
We are in what I deem is a slum, the grands and landscape is bad. Cigarettes litter the 4 units complex, as does broken glass in a few areas. Cable does not run here. And we have a furnace installed by maintenance guys. rather then licensed HVAC People. Unfortunately we are not alone in our pediment, many older people and people of all ages, are like us.
We have paid our rent for close to 4 years It was $740 went we moved in, and $870 the rent has gone down in quality, but up in price. Some balconies are falling down onto the patios hitting humans and animals, or just missing them. The outside stairs are torn and can cause people to fall. The Landlord is not fast on some repair's, because he is busy gathering money, not spending it.
We want a 1,100 sq. feet to 1,500 on one floor, with 1 and 1/2 bathroom. a fenced in back yard, good roof, safe furnace, small repairs I can do myself. in the late 1980s I had a homeless Shelter back in Maine. Than I operating a national informational hotline in 1989-2012 before caring but limited resources of 211 started to give out information, not usually fitting the complete needs of the callers.
Our individual credit scores are so low, we cannot buy a small house. We cant rent a good apartment. Their are to many people in Colorado like us. Please do a story on people like us.
In COS we the poor of cash are about 1/2 or more of the population.
Its time Colorado Springs become the "City with a Heart." Its time landlord stop taking credit scores as showing the character of renters. Its time landlords relay upon their guts, and kind hearts to preform miracles for the bottom of the income population. 719.645.7746

Nice that the Indy highlighted a local music event on its Culture page. It should happen more often, a lot more often.
Oy! What unfortunate weather for today. I am saving your web page and hope to come to your March performance.
Andante was where I first learned to dance. The people there are friendly and helpful. They all come from different dance backgrounds and have a lot of knowledge to offer. I not only discovered my passion for dancing here, but also made a lot of good friends. I'd definitely recommend Andante, especially for someone who wants to learn how to dance and does not have any experience yet. It's a great place to start.
I began going to Andante Blues over a year and a half ago, and started out not being able to dance one bit. I had tried, but always felt like people were judging me, or I was doing it wrong. The relaxed teaching environment, plus the atmosphere of fun and laid-back dancing, made me realize that social dancing was something I loved! Not only did I learn how to blues dance, I met a group of artistic, caring, and fun people that I wouldn't have been introduced to otherwise!
(The first timers come free was definitely a bonus as well - and after that, it's really a great price!)
I definitely recommend this place. 6/5 stars.
There is an opening for this exhibit on 5 February, 6:00-9:00 pm. Music provided by Nathan Archer. https://www.facebook.com/events/9278538972…

Quotes from Donald Spitz who commented above: in the MSNBC article by Irin Carmon written 11/30/2015: "As for Donald Spitz’s own reaction, “I think Planned Parenthood is an evil organization, so I didn’t lose any sleep when I heard about it,” Spitz said. “They sell baby parts, and they reap what they sow, and now they’re complaining about it.”
He added, “There are no innocent people in Planned Parenthood. They’re in there for a reason.”
Spitz said he wrote to Dear on Monday to offer his support.
So thankful to live in a country that has laws respecting women to make their own medical choices in a safe, legal setting. Looking forward to this event!
By women’s reproductive health rights you mean mother's murdering their unborn children.
