Welcome to the Independent's Education Guide for 2005. In this guide you'll find a comprehensive listing of the region's many colleges and universities, private and public schools, and resources for home schooling. We also list plenty of places that hold continuing education courses in just about anything, from painting to ballroom dancing to learning Spanish or Python (that's computer -- not snake -- speak). Mind you, we're well aware that school just ended and summer is just kicking off, but it's never too early to start thinking about the next semester. After all, it means learning new things, meeting new people and, most importantly, getting new, fancy school clothes!
