    Sign up by Sept. 8 for the Pikes Peak Writing Marathon. Slated for noon to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, this fest hosted by the Southern Colorado Writing Project will begin in the Carnegie Reading Room at the Penrose Library (20 N. Cascade Ave.), and from there progress to various "cafés, pubs and public spaces in downtown Colorado Springs."
