Now celebrating its 20th year of award-winning journalism, our editorial team is adding a News Editor. This journalist will lead our veteran and talented news team to brainstorm, pursue and publish insightful news stories, blog posts, and long-form, narrative, investigative features.
You will report to our editor-in-chief. The ideal candidate will have strong editing, mentoring and reporting experience. Our newsroom is a fast-paced environment and like everyone else on staff, you’ll be expected to juggle numerous projects and tasks, so an ability to think and work quickly is vital.
Knowledge of the Pikes Peak region as well as past experience in the altweekly industry are desirable, but not essential.

Looking for someone with at least 2 yrs (print, broadcast or online) ad sales exp. Should be detail oriented, able to multi-task, self-motivated, and have solid verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to service (& grow) existing customers while getting new advertisers. New business development is a key function of this position. Should have a vehicle that will get you around town & being an avid Indy reader is a plus.
