I agree with DB too... I have a degree in Criminal Justice and worked in the private sector for 10 years. I've had a great many friends who were cops and totally sympathize with them and their job.
But the article wasn't really about the cop per say. He was doing what he was told to do - generate revenue. Heck, Rich even apologized for the rant about the cop! It was about the ludicrous happenings that occurred in the court house after the ticket.
Did ya'll miss the "big metal belt buckle" comment, or that a whole room full of people pleaded down their speeding ticket to a FALSE defective headlight charge - all in the name of the almighty dollar!?!
Good stuff, Rich. Keep it going!
Hey, I might have a lead for ya in regards to a rather large brake repair "company" (and I use that term loosely as they appear to be more of an scam than a legit business) here in our little village.
Now we know why you're so delightfully demented, Rich! Might wanna add a little fiber to that diet! ;)
Anyone that can spin a yarn that contains the down home goodness of Thanksgiving and dog molesting perverts with such a sanguine segue... well, as the Guinness Guys say: BRILLIANT!
Absolutely hilarious stuff - as usual. The profound stupidity to which this city's elders continue to display is truly mind boggling.
It's sad that such a great little village like ours, one that gets hoisted to the top of a great many Top 10 lists of all kinds, is populated by more than one idiot.
And Kimberly... apparently your disdain for Rich clouded your ability to decipher the crux (the message if you will) of his snidely hilarious article. It in fact went sailing over your head, much like Rich's car went sailing past that not-so-innocent shrub.
Pete... GREAT article! Really good insight into the local brewery scene, especially the guys over at Bristol. I've had beers from all the spots listed, each are great in their own right. I'm going to link this piece from my beer blog and give it some attention.
Wish I was going up to the GABF this year. I was supposed to volunteer tomorrow night, but sadly won't be able to make it due to conflicting family events.
If you're going... have a beer (or seven) for me! ;)
Welcome back, Rich! Missed you while you were "gone." What a grand re-entry! "Paster Ted sure liked Peter"!?! Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahaah! GREAT stuff man! Keep it comin!
