how VERY awesome for parents in this community to have another choice for their children! Kudos to this group of parents and educators for coming together and I wish them the best of luck!
I am always amazed at people having opinions about things that they have no personal experience with. What my take away from this article is has to do with parents trying to support their child. KUDOS to them for that. I also understand that the school district has to deal with the big picture issue of all of their other students. It is not an easy situation by any means. Best wishes to Coy and her family. And for those of you who claim that a child cannot possibly know what their gender should be at this young age, I have heard interviews with parent of children who are transgender and say that their child knew at a VERY young age. So I don't think that this child read a book one day or saw a show about transgender and decided to identify herself as such because of that.
I think one has to remember the trauma that people who lost their homes have been through. I cannot imagine the pain and frustration of it all. It sounds like the builder is trying to be reasonable. I wish them all well.
Hmmm...and stormwater fees are NOT a tax? That is beside the point-this is not unexpected but still absolutely disgusting. Wonder if the county insurance pays for Viagra and the like?
Rich, another thought provoking column. Good work! I am glad that Mr. Flakes has devoted himself to working on issues impacting today's youth but I admit to ambivalence about him as a candidate.
It is really scary that this person does not seem to have any moral issues with what he is perpetrating. I have one word for this: misogynist. I am an ardent supporter of First Amendment rights but just as our founding fathers and mothers could not have imagined the firearms available today in their crafting of the Second Amendment, there is no way that they could have envisioned today's technological advances that would enable such a disgusting business.
Re: “Parkside residents get handed the bill for repairs”
as a homeowner in an HOA controlled community, this is a good reminder to me that we need to ensure our HOA is carrying out their role. Thanks for a good update, Pam. You've done a service to all of us with this article.
